Of all the words I could use to try to describe what I felt when I discovered [Steemit](www.steemit.com) (more than a year ago), I think, the first one I would use would be "excitement"; followed by a feeling of strangeness accompanied by many doubts.

The project of @ned was in all the news of the crypto world, and it flooded the minds of content creators and invited them to join. So, it did not take long for me to also be a part; trapped by the vision and the business model, I entered the world of Steem.

In a few months, my social habits in front of the computer had changed; I stopped reading content on many other social networks and became addicted to Steemit.
 
I realized that people who decide to make their way into this world, forget what is out there, and start using more platforms on Steem, than any other centralized network. We have found an environment where we can share our lives, talk about work, or vacations; while we earn a little money for it. In addition, if we pay attention to our new digital habits, you will notice that we now share the content created in Steem in other social networks.


# Many Topics

While talking with the community about the improvements we could make to the platform if we were the designers and developers; the topic of disorder in blogs arose, and how it becomes a problem to find a post that you uploaded a few months ago. And, if we observe the users, you will notice that there will hardly be anyone who talks about a single topic. I have seen some blogs that have at least 5 different themes.

If you have a blog like mine, full of content on various topics, you will know what I am talking about when I say that it becomes tedious not to have control over the organization of your content.

That's why we decided to create Cheekend, the next platform on Steem Blockchain that allows you to organize your talent by sections.

How many forms can exist for users to group their publications by sections depending on the theme? ... We have called them "Collections".

This is not new; Similar models have been seen with Google Plus, Pinterest or Unsplash; allowing its users to order their different content in collections depending on the theme. We believe that Steem needs it. We want that while you make money, you order your talent.

# Collections

Each collection is a specific set of publications on a particular subject, arranged in a simple way so that you can read clearly. If people follow you on Cheekend, then they automatically follow your Collections.

# Open Collection

Within a collection of yours, or of some user you will be able to find the posts that previously have been selected to be displayed there; followed by important data about the collection: 1) Number of posts inside. 2) Sum of the value in SBD of all the posts. 3) The number of people who visited that collection. 4) Date of creation and 5) Tags used.
 
If you liked a collection a lot you can donate to the creator by clicking on "Donate"; in this way, we think that creators can be rewarded for their hard work.

If you click on the "Add to Library" button that collection, will be automatically saved in a special section called "Library". We created it having in mind that, you don’t want to see all the time the collections of the people you follow.

Creating a new collection in Cheekend is so easy. You have the possibility to personalize it by choosing a cover photo and selecting a color that will distinguish it from the others. In 125 characters, you can express that it dealt with what people will see soon.

We consider Cheekend as a complement of Busy, Steemit and all the other platforms on Steem. Cheekend doesn’t intend to compete with these, on the contrary, we want to be allies and receive support in all areas.**We are open since we are an open source and non-profit project**.
