Arsenal Have No Backline For Game Against Newcastle

Arsenal's loss against Spurs really put the pressure on to secure that 4th spot with Spurs 1 point behind. Making the games against Newcastle and Everon must-win encounters, or the season would have been for nothing and it would be a disaster for the next season. 

The loss was not only a hit to the points table but Arsenal also lost Gabriel Magalhaes at the end of the game due to a muscular injury. He joins Ben White on the list of defenders meaning our main center-back pairing is out.

To add to that Rob Holding got a red card so he will be out for the season so 3 of our center-backs are out. Three of them are out on loan namely Mari, Mavraponos, and Saliba, while Chambers was sold in January so it looks like Mikel will have to shift Tomiyasi to center-back.

That means Cedric would come in at right-back while Tavares would now have to play left-back with Tierney out for the season. I don't see Mikel rolling the dice on a youngster of which Rekik would have been the most promising of the ones avialable. He has already confirmed he is on holiday in Spain having finished the under 23 season.

So Xhaka will most likely be the other center back which doesn't fill me with much confidence. 

It also means Sambi will need to come into the midfield with Elneny since Partey is also out for the season.
