For some or other reason the electricity is off in my neighbourhood right now, and its 3 am, well I guess that's one way to get me off the Red Dead Redemption trail ain't it? Some of us have trains to catch, fuck you Eskom!

So when I'm not numbing my brain with media, I tend to use it to think of shit and yeah enjoy the shit sandwich that's about to unfold in front of you, hope you brought your appetite.

Whether you like it or not, we find ourselves in a drive through, pop tart, ready in seconds instant gratification society. I'm not even entirely sure why everyone is so obsessed with saving time these days; it's not like you're doing anything valuable with it anyway, you're just sitting on the couch getting fat and fucking up your digestive system with ramen noodles.

Also, binge-watching the latest Netflix series isn't an achievement, well it is if you and your friendship circle think it is, then, by all means, pat yourself on the back, take this participation trophy lube it up and shove it up your arse while you're at it.

## Long term is for losers

Unfortunately, achieving anything that is remotely worthwhile takes sustained commitment over time. It takes motivation and daily contributions to review, iterate and refine whatever you're doing until you become the best at it. That is true in every facet of life including earning free internet money for your controversial opinions.

## We're only as good as the world allows us to be

I'm still a firm believer in prosperity and privilege is a hollow victory, as soon as you lose your hunger you lose your passion, and you're well simply not going to try. Why would you? You're comfy AF as is, why try to achieve any more? Mediocrity is a pretty cosy place to be in a world that applauds just showing up from the birth canal.

Hey, you're born, here's some false sense of entitlement we masquerade as human rights now go out there and make a nuisance of yourself. Generating value? Ah, well that's up to you, you don't have to if you don't want to.

We're all pieces of shit don't get me wrong, I am one too. I'm probably just a skid mark on the toilet paper though since I don't really try to be a piece of shit I just happen to be well there during the shit process we call life.

## You're thinking someone else's thoughts

I am of the firm belief that at any given moment in time there's between 10 000 to maybe max 100 000 people thinking for the rest of the worlds 7 Billion strong population. These people decide where the world goes and what people should do and the rest of the sheeple follow. Free thinking is hard and complicated, why would I want to do that?

Take my only real tangible civil liberty; you can have it, give me convenience and sedate me with your modern pleasures of life.

Yip congratulations, you've successfully turned your life into a series of meaningless interactions and bowel movements until you're no longer with us. Don't believe me? Listen to any eulogy at a funeral? Most people don't have much to say on the person who passed.

He was a father, a manager, a soccer player, a husband, thanks for all those nouns, so basically he spent 70+ years being a series of nouns, that's rather comforting.

**Teach them well and let them lead the way**

## Rant/Message over

I guess what I'm trying to say here is the majority of modern life is meaningless, a series of surface interactions we pretend to be more than they are in the hope of selling yourself a lie that you and what you do has meaning because well, actually going out and finding meaning and purpose in life is too far from McDonald's and out of your comfort zone.

If that's you, perfectly fine just maybe buy another happy meal and stuff it in your mouth and shut the fuck up about other peoples life choices. Just because you're too weak to get off the paper trail the world has provided you with doesn't mean you're opinion needs to be heard.

Any hooz just my thought of the day, use it, don't use it.
