The outbreak of the virus has placed the world in a unique situation we've never faced in the modern era and panic has set in through the help of governments around the world. Plenty of cities are now opting to shut down, reduce travel, keep people inside, close institutions, ban gatherings and even having curfew with a military presence. 

What's scary is the amount of support for these measures by the general public, I get it we're scared, we're thinking about our lives and not thinking rationally and this fear is driving us to willingly give up our freedom of movement and earning your own keep. 

This dependency on government to me has far-reaching implications we're not thinking about, it shows how quickly we are willing to give up our freedoms and rely on a central body out of fear. Regardless if we know these centralised institutions are corrupt to the core and responsible for far more pain and death than his virus has caused and ever will cause.

## From Corona to Controller

The fact that people in power can now see what it takes to corral the people means they can now replicate these sorts of measures and make it seem normal. What is stopping them from slowly stripping our freedoms by saying it's in our interest? 

I've heard talk of removing cash because it can pass on viruses, what a load of horse shit and even if it is, I'm willing to take the risk. I'd die for the privacy of my transactions and to opt-out of any tracking.

Once a "vaccine" is created what's stopping them from turning it into a profit machine and sucking the public dry through more panic buying and shaming those who would rather opt to build up immunities naturally?

## Papering over the cracks of privlege 

I realise this is an unpopular opinion but could the better option be that this should be a shock to the system for the individual to realise they need to look after themselves, stop living on sugary shit food, stop smoking, living healthier lives and build up their immune system?

No, we would rather opt for the comfort of our homes shoving Doritos down our throats and drinking sugary drinks and other carcinogens and breathing shit air and then hoping daddy government will sort it out.

Yes this is a public health issue, yes this is a financial issue, but what no one is talking about is that this is also a freedom issue.
