Purpose is a very important driving force in life, purpose makes you understand where you are and what ought to be done at a particular time.
One important lessons that ant teaches us is the need to be purposeful. Ants are very organized and purpose driven creatures.
Here is a short story depicting the lessons ant teaches us daily.
**BRIEF ILLUSTRATION**
Sophia lay on her stomach in the sitting room sofa, playing a game one her phone. This attitude had become her daily routine for the past few weeks after, trying unsuccesfully to get a job. She had struggled all alone in her job hunt without involving anybody. And having *'tried'* and *'failed,'* she momentarily gave up the search in frustration and became dependent on her parents.
After pressing her phone all day she had the urge to eat, she figure it's time to prepare lunch for herself moreover her younger siblings would soon be back from school and food food had to be ready before they arrived.
She sauntered into the kitchen with sleepy eye and aching stomach, something caught her attention. She noticed an ant lifting food particles five times it's size off the kitchen table. It dragged the food particles along the wall and daringly, stopped a few times and then continued on it's way. Suddenly other ants trooped out immediately and gathered around as if following a trail helping it to drag the food towards their destination.

Sophia watched on with keen interest and admiration and then decided to disturb the pattern. Using her index finger, she extricated the food fragment from the grip of the ants and kept it some distance away from them, injuring some in the process but to her surprise they quickly came togethr, helped the wounded ants then reorganized themselves after locating the food fragment again and continued on the trail they created without allowing Sophia's interruption deter them. Sophia was so fascinatinated that after the ants had disappeared she stood still looking at the crack in the wall through which they disappeared. The experience taught her a vital lesson and right there resumed her job hunt **"involving other people this time around."**
One of the ways to get the best from life is to learn from the lifestyle, experience and accomplisments of others no matter their status or level.

**LESSONS LEARNT**
There are various lessons learnt from the way ants live, some are:-
- Ants understand it purpose, it understand it's job description and know what it should engage in at a particular time. Relating this to us some people lack that grace of living purposefully or being organized, **always doing the right thing at the wrong time and vice versa.**
- In ants colony each and every ants has it's own duty which they set out to do without sluggishness or reluctance. Let's look at this instance, **The Queen ants is the founder of the colony because it has a stronger and larger nature, Soldiers ant protects the colony against attack and also use their strength and mandible to crack open hard seeds and carry larger objects, Worker ants are the smallest ant and they do most of the work in the colony like storing food, look after the queen and brood, maintain and expand the nest.** Every ant knows its function and carry it out dutifully without being supervised.
- Ants are very intelligent and creature who works with a clear foresight. They prepare themselves ahead of time, they gather food in dry season while preparing for the raining season,rhey understand time and knows it waits for no one. Ants *"makes hay while the sun shines"** They are not lazy creatures.
- Ants possesses unity amidst them, they are humble. Every ants knows its position and works in unity towards achieving their goal which makes them a colony. They make use of the word **TEAM** *'together everybody achieves much.'*
- They work hand in hand to achieve more, remember no man is an island of it's own. They are little but industrious creatures.

Success in life isn't based on physical stature, strength or significance but on wisdom and hard work. This is one of the important life lessons ant teaches us. It is tiny feeble and insignificant animal yet accomplishes so much because it is wise and industrious. In all gaining gain wisdom, Learn wisdom from ant and do better as a higher creature that you are.
