<html> <p><a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/53128470579595837/">Image source </a></p> <p>I will never forget those kerosene lamps we used at home during my early school years, when rechargeable lamps and generators were luxury.</p> <p>They were helpful, but poorly effective, they only gave light a few centimeters around them (so annoying), so we had to carry them wherever we went.</p> <p>They helped us study while maintaining the darkness in the room, and guided our feet while we walked along a path.</p> <p>The word of God is light, and many times, it plays similar role with our kerosene lamps.</p> <p>We find it difficult to walk with God in this regard because usually we want to see the whole path clearly before setting out on it, so we know what to do, but we have cold feet; we have light but we lack the courage to walk in it. We are scared of the outcome of our decisions.</p> <p>We pretend to be waiting on God, while God continues to wait for us.</p> <p>On the path to destiny, we may not have that clear picture of our destination, and no matter how hard we try to, God gives us just glimpses of it.</p> <p>Destiny is revealed in phases, and dreams come alive in bits. The fulfilment of one gives room for the achievement of the next.</p> <p>So to reach God's expected end we must be courageous to take the little 'destiny' steps where the lamp guides us to, with full assurance of God's faithfulness.</p> <p>In simple terms, make a move, do something today. Take steps towards your dreams.</p> <p>Start a business, build a relationship, take up a masters program, travel abroad, submit your resignation letter, commit to growth, lose weight, join a political party, propose to your dream spouse, etc.</p> <p>Glory lies at the end of every path God leads you to.</p> <p>Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a lamp unto my path.
