Education is the name of the game. 

#### And with Bitshares, STEEM, Steemit, and Openledger we can bring a whole wave of knowledge to these young minds who are just waiting to absorb it.

Real, positive change.

Introducing Bitshares to high school and University students can do this (Link to post about this at end of this post).


#### Here is the action plan to successfully accomplish this:

All these need to be achieved to successfully launch "Introducing Students to Bitshares."

Here is the action plan in more detail.

## Developing relationships with high schools and universities

Getting a variety of high schools, universities, and colleges is essential to success.  

These are the schools being secured for the first semester of "Introducing Students to Bitshares"

### Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School

#### It is one of the highest rated public schools in Ohio and has been for years.  It is a Division I school with 1,405 students from a very interesting target market.

The high school feeds from Brecksville, population of 13,656, and Broadview Heights with a population of 19,400.  

These cities are very influential and have average incomes of $133,335 (Brecksville) and $75,357 (Broadview Heights) respectively.

Getting these students will have a domino effect as they get their family and friends familiar with Bitshares, STEEM, Steemit, and OpenLedger.

Besides graduating from BBHHS myself, there is a huge friendly network in Brecksville and Broadview Heights with Greg Roderick, Mathematics teacher, being the targeted "thought leader".

### Beachwood High School

#### Beachwood High School has an enrollment of 600+ students and is located in Beachwood, Ohio a suburb of Cleveland.

BHS is located in Beachwood which has a population of 11,000+ of and an average income of $83,125.  

It has a close proximity to Cleveland and is known for its excellent shopping, entertainment, and restaurants.

Similar to BBHHS, getting the students at Beachwood High School would have a domino effect with their family and friends that would yield great results.

Jeff Luce, a mathematics teacher of BHS with a degree in Mathematics Education from Northwestern University, is the thought leader related to Beachwood High School.  He is a big fan of using interactive tools in his class room and we have known each other 10+ years.

#### Besides high schools, college and universities are another avenue for "Introducing Students to Bitshares."

The following will be the first batch of college and universities secured for "Introducing Students to Bitshares":

- Ohio State University (64,868 students), 
- Bowling Green State University (14,807 students), 
- The University of Akron (22,619 students), and 
- Cleveland State University (17,000+ students) .

### Ohio State University

#### Ohio State located in Columbus, Ohio is the third largest university (behind Central Florida & Texas A&M) in the United States and has an epic and diverse campus, city, and population.

It's business college, the Max M. Fisher College of Business, has over 6,000 undergraduates, 100+ staff, and an endowment of $120 million.

The student population and the city of Columbus' population is diverse, so diverse that it mirrors the percentages of the diversity of the United States.  

That is the main reason Columbus, Ohio is one of the testing sites for many new restaurant and non-restaurant franchises.  Google the restaurant selection in Columbus, Ohio and you will be blown away.  Most national chains have a franchise in Columbus. 

Former scout sniper in the U.S. Army Charles Cohen, current OSU business student, will be taking the lead in securing the professors and faculty at Ohio State.  Being a student and former military, his professor and faculty are very receptive.

### Bowling Green State University

#### The College of Business at BGSU is ranked among the top 5% of business schools in the United States and is in the top 2% of universities worldwide accredited in both business and accounting.

Bowling Green State University has over 14,000+ students with 1,700 being business students.

The faculty is very open and friendly to trying new things as they look to establish BGSU as a premier public university in Ohio.

I personally have spent 6+ years and have developed deep connections with the area, especially in the finance, economics, and entrepreneurship faculty.

Having studied Finance and Economics and being part of the first group of Entrepreneurship Program students back in 2007, there is a unique opportunity to get a Division A American University on board.

Dr. Mary Ellen Benedict, former chair of the Economics Department and Economics professor, will be the targeted thought leader at BGSU as she is extremely influential still at BGSU and has a personal connection with myself.  She is the reason I was an Economics major in the first place, she pushed me into it and has been friendly ever since.  With her help we can secure the Economics Department and the rest of the College of Business at BGSU.

### University of Akron

#### The University of Akron has over 22,000+ undergraduate students and is located in Akron, Ohio which is the 5th largest city in Ohio with a population of 197,000+.

The University has an extremely diverse population representing 45 states and 92 foreign countries. It is safe to say getting this student population, especially the business and law departments, will yield great results.

Being located in Akron, Ohio is also a huge benefit to the University of Akron.

Fortune 500 companies such as the Goodyear Year Tire and Rubber Company and FirstEnergy are located here.  Also larger companies such as GOJO, Myers Industries, Acme Fresh Market, Sterling Jewelers, and Bridgestone have huge presences in Akron, OH as it is "Northeast Ohio's Polymer Valley."

Getting the students and the employers who hire them after graduation is a huge benefit securing the University of Akron brings for "Introducing students to Bitshares."

Dr. Doug Hausknecht, professor of Marketing and International Business Assessment Officer, is an epic asset to this movement.  Besides being a close friend and one of the most respected faculty at UA, he is an influential member of several charitable and leadership organizations in Akron and Ohio that will bring on some more respected thought leaders.


### Cleveland State University

#### Cleveland State University, located in Cleveland, Ohio, has an undergraduate population of 17,000+ students with the Monte Ahuja College of Business having over 3,000+ students making it one of the largest business colleges in Ohio. 

CSU is located in Cleveland, Ohio, the 2nd largest city in Ohio (behind Columbus) with a population of over 388,000 people. Cleveland is a city with too many benefits to list as some of the most respected hospitals (Cleveland Clinic & University Hospitals) and companies & organizations (Cliffs Natural Resources, Sherwin-Williams, KeyCorp, and NASA.).

Cleveland State is in the middle of a $500 million dollar transformation as it goes from a commuter-based university to a campus-based university. 

As you can see securing CSU develops numerous benefits that will propel "Introducing Students to Bitshares" to the next level.

The point leader will by my father Paul Haught.  He ran Cleveland State's satellite universities and helped in their MBA programs.  Safe to say his network, MBA teaching resume, and experience will greatly help us secure Cleveland State and the Ahuja College of Business.
