What TOKYO so long?!!

Hello, Hivers! It’s been a long time since I posted my self-introduction blog and, I am excited as I take you to my first adventure blog in Tokyo, Japan!

Japan is one of the best countries in the world to visit. March of 2016, when I went there and, the weather was freezing. This was my first time visiting the country and, the excitement in me was just incomparable. Japan is a diverse country. People, food, architecture, traditions, and lifestyle. Everything in Japan is wow and, it seems to me that you are living in the future.

Every corner of the street in Japan you, will never run out of a vending machine. Yup, there are millions of them! Food and drink are readily available for you. Roaming around Tokyo was hassle-free and fun. You will find a lot of lovely sceneries, structures, temples, and meet friendly locals. While walking the street, I found these tulip flowers. Out of curiosity, I touched it and, it was real. Even their road, they put a hello kitty design road divider. How cute could that be! 😄

Shibuya is one of the busiest railways as it is famous for its ***scramble crossing***, called Shibuya Crossing.

You will meet various kinds of people crossing the street every minute. Of course, as a tourist, I never missed the chance to visit this station and I crossed the street multiple times just to get a nice angle of the photo and also to feel that I belong with the crowd. 😆 I thwacked a lot of people when crossing due to overcrowded and photography sessions. 😅 When you visit Shibuya Station, you will also find the statue of the famous loyal dog, Hachiko. A lot of people were queuing just to get a photo of Hachiko. Behind the statue, there’s a bench where you can sit and chill.

After Shibuya, we visited the most popular temple in Tokyo, Senso-Ji. This is located, in Asakusa. This temple is the oldest in Tokyo and one of its most significant.
When approaching the temple, you will see a lot of stores on the side selling souvenirs. I saw these five beautiful girls wearing a geisha costume and asked them politely if we could take a photo of us together. Good thing they understood English. 😁 Walking towards the temple, you will see this red big lantern in front of the temple. I went inside the temple and lit incense and pray for safety, good health, and abundance. After I pray, I went to the other side of the temple found this big Japanese character, and took a pic with it. I had no clue what was the meaning of it.

If you are a fan of anime, manga, and game lovers, this place is perfect for you. Akihabara is one of my favorite places in Tokyo. They’re famous for their cheap electronics shops. You will never get bored strolling here. Vintage tapes for gaming and samurai umbrellas were some of the few interesting stuff I found. Aside from electronic shops, you will also find other varieties such as beauty products stores, souvenir shops, food stalls, restaurants, bags and shoe stores, and many more. That red tall building behind me, it’s a gaming hub. All floors are gaming machines. Sadly, that building is no longer operational due to a pandemic. 🙁

When in Tokyo, never miss out on visiting Sanrio Puroland. No matter how old I get, I will always be a fan of Hello Kitty. Before the entrance, you will see the figures of Hello Kitty and Tiger. From there, I took a photo of them. Inside Sanrio, my eyes were full of hearts and, I can’t stop smiling seeing cute stuff. 😍 I got to watch Hello Kitty and friends perform and then patiently queue for meet and greet. Luckily, I got to hug Hello Kitty and had a photo with her. Later on, I had a chance to meet with Little Twin Stars and had a photo, together as well. My kid in me was very happy and fulfilling. 😊

Tokyo Tower is the second-tallest building in Japan. It is designed as Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. I went to the observatory deck and, the view from a different angle was spectacular. Japan at night was really alive, colorful, and just wow. I didn’t stay much at the top because the place was crowded and was getting late as well.

Last but definitely not the least, Tokyo Disneyland! My last stop before I ended my trip. Throughout this trip, I was expecting to see cherry blossom since winter is about to end. I didn’t realize that they start to blossom in the last week of March and the first week of April. Since I arrived there, mid-March, I thought I was unlucky. Fortunately, I found it in Tokyo Disneyland. 😍 It was my wish and first time to see cherry blossom. I couldn’t stop staring at it and was mesmerized by its beauty. 🌸🌸 I had fun strolling around and taking souvenir photos in every nice corner of Disneyland and the statue with Waltz Disney and Mickey. Though the weather was freezing, but then the cold never bothered me anyway. 😅 Flowers around were starting to bloom and were very colorful to look at. They were very pleasing to stare at. To finish my Disneyland tour, I was able to get a solo photo with Mickey. What a night it was! Tiring yet satisfying. 🙂
