***A true act of goodwill always sparks another***

It is really so underrated what an act of goodness can really do. One good act can spark a thousand more, and a thousand thousand more, it just keeps going. I've always wanted to see this movie but I kept forgetting and forgetting till finally I had to go download it myself this time. Good morning movie folks I hope you're having a wonderful day.

I woke up this morning to see the sun shine right through my window, it felt good, I was grateful to be able to feel all parts of my body intact. It wasn't my doing but it was out of the goodness of a higher power that I can't quite phantom but that one act is enough for me to also show an act of goodness to another person. I know not every good deed always comes with another good deed but most times that feeling of repaying what has been done to you always supersedes everything else.

The whole story actually brought about a very important lesson as most animation movies do and it did so in a very enjoyable way. A young man who has everything he has ever wanted given to him on a platter (you can call him a spoilt brat), Jesper Johansen gets summoned through a letter by his father the Royal Postmaster General, after wasting away his training days as a mail man in the academy. He instead spends those days living the lazy luxurious life without a worry in the world.

That one letter actually changes his life as he gets deployed to faraway Smeerensburg with the task of posting six-thousand letters within a year. If he fails to achieve this task after one year he'll get cut off from his family's fortune leaving him with nothing. Jesper gets to Smeerensburg to meet a very confused town and a feud between the two clans, the Ellingboes and the Krums who have been on each other's necks for years now.

He meets everything crumbling, the post office has been turned into a farm house for chickens and the school is now a fish slaughter house where he meets Alva, the teacher turned fishmonger. Jesper then tries to see to it that this town gets letters one way or the other because that's his only way of escape. But what he meets instead is more hostility and more frustration.

One day he discovers a lumberman dwelling outside the town and goes on to check it out. To his surprise he meets a scary looking woodsman named Klaus who's house is filled with hand made toys. After fleeing, jesper leaves behind a drawing he'd gotten from a little Krum lad and Klaus sees it and comes back to look for Jesper and they both go on to deliver a toy to the lad.

After that event word spread like wildfire about how a letter to Klaus can get any lad a toy. There a jesper sees a whole new opportunity to achieve his goal of leaving the unsettling town of Smeerensburg with the help of Klaus's toy donations. Would he be able to achieve his goal and deliver six thousand letters? You'll have to watch it to find out.

For me, I must say I'm very impressed with the story. How they were able to connect a random tale of a mail man and a woodman to Christmas can be said to be genius. I would certainly have believed that this was what actually brought about the birth of the Santa Claus as we all know him. It was told in a very different setting and using characters that were really beautiful. We see the whole flying reindeer, the popular Ho-ho-ho laughter and the later christmas setting all done in a different but captivating way.

Then adding villians to the story even went on to make it more enjoyable. They were well developed and it gave it a really good arc, that balance is what a really good story tries to achieve and this one did really well. I must say kudos to **Sergio Pablos** for this wonderful story and he did well to see to it that his story was well depicted.

#### Casts and Animation

Using the voices of Jason Schwartzman, J. K. Simmons, Rashida Jones, Will Sasso, Neda Margrethe Labba, Sergio Pablos, Norm Macdonald, Joan Cusack actually made this tale come to life. I must say I certainly enjoyed the rhythm in Jason Schwartzman's voice, it gave out the whole **Jesper** character really well with his silly talkative nature, I almost starting seeing Ryan Reynolds,hehehe. 

J.k Simmons made it even the more interesting with his early stiff no talking nature and when he laughed, I was like yeah, now that's what you're talking about. Neda Margrethe Labba as Márgu had this wonderful tingle in gee voice that made me keep rewinding to hear. It was a well thought about cast which only came alive with well created characters. Each character had a role to play and he didn't do the mistake of giving less value to one character or adding too much value to another. 

For a movie that was named **Klaus** you'd think that the protagonist would be Klaus but there was certainly more than one protagonist and each one had a story to tell. I like how these individual stories were actually told without going out of context and each one was eventually linked back to the main story.

Released on the 8th November 2019, the animation was quite impressive. I certainly would love to see Sergio Pablos Animation Studios do more Animations because this one was genius. Sometimes it had this painting look and a lot of beautiful detail. Then the colors always depicted the mood in each scenes, dull colors to depict sad moods, bright colors to depict a happy setting and a shade of color to depict the two clans, this can only be genius.

The soundtrack too was a beautiful to hear, it gave it a whole serene environment that anyone would enjoy.

#### Conclusion

It would have been like any normal Christmas story but it wasn't and I liked that it didn't try hard to be so different it just told a story that every thought they knew in a very simple enjoyable way. I cannot really find any fault in this movie, except that I would unwatch it if I could and wait till Christmas to watch it for the first time and maybe I would have done that with my family. But I surely would certainly see it again with some of my younger siblings (which is my sister of 21 years, hehe).

I would recommend this movie strongly if you havn't seen it and if you have it still wouldn't hurt to enjoy it again. I'll rate it a nine out of ten because it surely deserved it.

Un verdadero acto de buena voluntad siempre provoca otro

Es realmente tan subestimado lo que un acto de bondad puede hacer. Un buen acto puede desencadenar mil más, y mil mil más, y así sucesivamente. Siempre quise ver esta película pero me olvidaba y me olvidaba hasta que finalmente tuve que ir a descargarla yo mismo esta vez. Buenos días cinéfilos espero que estéis teniendo un día maravilloso.

Me desperté esta mañana para ver el sol brillar justo a través de mi ventana, se sentía bien, estaba agradecido de poder sentir todas las partes de mi cuerpo intactas. No fue obra mía, sino que fue por la bondad de un poder superior que no puedo fantasear, pero ese acto es suficiente para que yo también muestre un acto de bondad a otra persona. Sé que no toda buena acción viene siempre acompañada de otra buena acción pero la mayoría de las veces ese sentimiento de devolver lo que te han hecho siempre supera todo lo demás.

En realidad, toda la historia aportaba una lección muy importante, como la mayoría de las películas de animación, y lo hacía de forma muy amena. Jesper Johansen, un joven que tiene todo lo que ha querido en bandeja (se le puede llamar mocoso mimado), es llamado por su padre, el Director General de Correos, a través de una carta, después de desperdiciar sus días de formación como cartero en la academia. En lugar de eso, pasa esos días viviendo una vida lujosa y perezosa sin ninguna preocupación en el mundo.

Esa carta le cambia la vida, ya que es enviado a la lejana Smeerensburg con la tarea de enviar seis mil cartas en un año. Si no consigue cumplir esta tarea al cabo de un año, se verá privado de la fortuna de su familia y se quedará sin nada. Jesper llega a Smeerensburg y se encuentra con una ciudad muy confusa y con una disputa entre los dos clanes, los Ellingboes y los Krums, que llevan años enfrentados.

Se encuentra con que todo se desmorona, la oficina de correos se ha convertido en una granja de gallinas y la escuela es ahora un matadero de pescado donde conoce a Alva, el profesor convertido en pescadero. Jesper intenta entonces que este pueblo reciba cartas de una forma u otra porque es su única vía de escape. Pero lo que encuentra en cambio es más hostilidad y más frustración.

Un día descubre una morada de leñadores en las afueras del pueblo y va a comprobarlo. Para su sorpresa, conoce a un leñador de aspecto aterrador llamado Klaus, cuya casa está llena de juguetes hechos a mano. Después de huir, Jesper deja un dibujo que le había hecho un niño de Krum y Klaus lo ve y vuelve a buscar a Jesper y ambos van a entregar un juguete al niño.

Después de este acontecimiento, se corre la voz de que una carta a Klaus puede conseguir un juguete a cualquier muchacho. Allí, Jesper ve una nueva oportunidad para lograr su objetivo de salir del inquietante pueblo de Smeerensburg con la ayuda de las donaciones de juguetes de Klaus. ¿Será capaz de lograr su objetivo y entregar seis mil cartas? Tendrás que verlo para averiguarlo.

### Historia

Para mí, debo decir que estoy muy impresionado con la historia. Cómo han sido capaces de relacionar una historia aleatoria de un cartero y un leñador con la Navidad se puede decir que es una genialidad. Sin duda, habría creído que esto fue lo que realmente provocó el nacimiento del Papá Noel que todos conocemos. Se contó en un escenario muy diferente y con personajes realmente hermosos. Vemos todo el reno volador, la popular risa de Ho-ho-ho y el posterior escenario navideño, todo ello realizado de una manera diferente pero cautivadora.

Luego, añadir villanos a la historia incluso la hizo más agradable. Fueron bien desarrollados y le dio un arco realmente bueno, ese equilibrio es lo que una historia realmente buena trata de lograr y esta lo hizo realmente bien. Debo decir que hay que felicitar a Sergio Pablos por esta maravillosa historia y que hizo muy bien en que su historia estuviera bien representada.

#### Reparto y animación

El uso de las voces de Jason Schwartzman, J. K. Simmons, Rashida Jones, Will Sasso, Neda Margrethe Labba, Sergio Pablos, Norm Macdonald, Joan Cusack realmente hizo que este cuento cobrara vida. Debo decir que disfruté mucho del ritmo de la voz de Jason Schwartzman, que dio todo el carácter de **Jesper** muy bien con su naturaleza tonta y habladora, casi empecé a ver a Ryan Reynolds,jejeje. 

J.k Simmons lo hizo aún más interesante con su naturaleza temprana y rígida de no hablar y cuando se rió, yo estaba como sí, ahora eso es lo que estás hablando. Neda Margrethe Labba en el papel de Márgu tenía un maravilloso cosquilleo en la voz que me hacía rebobinar para escucharla. Era un reparto bien pensado que sólo cobraba vida con personajes bien creados. Cada personaje tenía un papel que desempeñar y no cometió el error de dar menos valor a un personaje o añadir demasiado valor a otro. 

Para una película que se llama **Klaus** uno pensaría que el protagonista sería Klaus pero ciertamente había más de un protagonista y cada uno tenía una historia que contar. Me gustó que estas historias individuales se contaran realmente sin salirse del contexto y que cada una de ellas estuviera finalmente vinculada a la historia principal.

Para una película estrenada el 8 de noviembre de 2019, la animación fue bastante impresionante. Ciertamente me encantaría ver a Sergio Pablos Animation Studios hacer más animaciones porque esta fue genial. A veces tenía este aspecto de pintura y un montón de detalles hermosos. Los colores siempre representaban el estado de ánimo en cada escena, colores apagados para representar estados de ánimo tristes, colores brillantes para representar un entorno feliz y un tono de color para representar a los dos clanes, esto sólo puede ser una genialidad.

La banda sonora también era una maravilla, le daba todo un ambiente de serenidad que cualquiera disfrutaría.

#### Conclusión

Hubiera sido como cualquier cuento de Navidad normal, pero no lo fue y me gustó que no se esforzara en ser tan diferente, sino que simplemente contara una historia que todo el mundo creía conocer de una forma muy sencilla y agradable. Realmente no puedo encontrar ningún fallo en esta película, excepto que la dejaría de ver si pudiera y esperaría a las navidades para verla por primera vez y quizás lo haría con mi familia. Pero seguramente la volvería a ver con alguno de mis hermanos menores (que es mi hermana de 21 años, jeje).

Recomiendo encarecidamente esta película si no la has visto y si la has visto igual no te vendría mal volver a disfrutarla. La califico con un 9 sobre 10 porque seguramente se lo merece.
