Coinigy is a great charting tool that shows the real-time charts for many different exchanges. I use Bittrex to trade my crypto currencies and it's one of the included exchanges within coinigy. However, if you want to take advantage of coinigy's ability and feature of trading directly from the coinigy platform (no need to even login to your exchange for this) then you'll need to add Bittrex's API (Application programming interface) to coinigy. Here's how..

First, Click "Accounts" near the top (above chart)


Click on 'Add New Exchange Account'

Now choose 'Bittrex'  (or the name of your exchange)  for the list there.

Now, make a new tab in your browser and head over to the Bittrex website.

Go ahead and login.  Click on 'settings'

then click on 'API Keys' from left of screen.

You'll get a message about two-factor Authentification.. click on those settings.

Now a tricky (at least it was for me) part, download the 'google authenticator' on your phone. Scan the bar code (like you're taking a picture or vid.. get the bar code all in the red box until it snaps a pic. hint: I had to turn my phone sideways and try and scan it that way.. then it worked right away) or enter the secret key manually. After it connects a 6 digit code gets sent to your phone and it refreshes with a new code every minute. As soon as it changes, type those 6 digits into that area that asks for that code. Click on Enable 2FA.

Bittrex will now send you an email. Open this email and click on the link at the end.

Again, you must input the 6 digit code found on your phone's google authenticator app.

You will be rewarded by the following..

Yay! Now we are almost there.

Go back to Bittrex Home (just click that button) and go to settings again.

Click on API keys. You will get this new screen telling you that you have no API keys. Just click on 'Add New Key'.

The new key made will have 4 switches. Change the first 3 of these to on. (this is so coinigy can use this API to trade your Bittrex account)

Once again you must input a new 6 digit code from your phone's (so much security) google authenticator. Click on 'Update Keys'.

Now Head to your Coinigy tab and enter the 'Key' and 'Secret' found on your Bittrex tab.

Click confirm.

You'll get the silly Are You Sure? Click yes.

Now your coinigy sees the new API. Cool. But one last step.. Click on that little 'trading' box to make the API fully working so you can trade with it.
