Simon was a young man living in a small village called Helados, a place where life was hard and resources were scarce. The people were caught between danger and misery and had no hope for a better future. Simon was a dreamer and his dream was to escape from Helados and find a better life in a place where he felt safe. However, he was surrounded by unsupportive people who told him that his dreams were impossible.
Lack of resources prevented them from leaving that place, surrounded by a huge field that they said was full of dangers such as wild animals, even bombs hidden unexploded for many years. The fear of getting hurt or being attacked in that place was enough to fill with fear all the inhabitants of Helados, who, used to that place, kept working hard, hoping that things would change.
Simon for his part knew that things were not going to change there, the mentality of those people would not allow it, the solution to those serious problems would not be found in that place isolated from the world. Simon thought over and over again the best way to cross the field, but the weeds, the plants and everything else made the ground completely covered and it was impossible to know if there was a bomb underneath.

One day, Simon found a way to escape. One night he found a small path with no grass or weeds, a path marked for sure by the inept who passed by time and time again, this path was clear and although it was late, the moonlight illuminated the path. After walking a few hours he saw a distant light that he did not know where it came from. He approached to see what it was and saw a strange man traveling in a cart full of boxes everywhere. The man asked Simon if he needed a ride, to which he said yes.
Simon agreed to the ride and went with the man, he didn't know where he was going but he was sure he wanted to get out of that place. After a bit of a long trip, the kind man took him to a city called Esperanza, a place where people worked hard to have a better life, there were many people in that place doing different things. For Simon this was something new, he came from a different place, with people who did not want him to progress.
Adapting was very hard, but soon Simon found a job and started saving to buy his own house, his biggest dream, to live in a spacious place where he could feel safe. Meanwhile, he could not stop thinking about his town and the people who lived there, he had inside him the fear that things would go wrong, he was afraid of losing what he had achieved with much effort, one night while he was sleeping, he had a very lucid dream, in the Helados began to disintegrate, people were leaving fleeing and looking for a better place to live.

When he woke up, a deep sadness invaded Simon's heart, it was not only about leaving the town, there were good people who deserved to have a better life. So Simon decided to continue living in that small room and the money he had saved for his new home, he used it to hire some teachers for his town, he wanted the children to get an education, to change their way of thinking a little.
Simon spent the money to fulfill part of his dream, but he felt inside him a great satisfaction, he would help the children of his hometown to learn many things. In time, Simon worked hard and managed to have his own family and a good life. He had become a successful businessman and had achieved what no one thought possible, he moved with his family to Helados proving that all the stories of that minefield full of wild creatures was false and being there, he helped a lot to progress the town.
Simon had proven that you can always achieve your dreams, even if the environment is hostile. He had found happiness in a place where before there was only misery. His story inspired many others to achieve their goals as well.
