I was born in Puerto Carreño, a small town in the department of Vichada, Colombia. From the moment I opened my eyes, I felt lucky to have been born in such a beautiful place. This little town is a paradise surrounded by nature. Although most of us who lived there were of limited means, we felt fortunate to live in a place where we could enjoy all that God gave us, creation. 

From my earliest years, I enjoyed its quiet dirt roads, beautiful mountains, huge rocks and lush trees. Puerto Carreño is a beautiful place full of life. Sometimes, I would stand at the door of my house and stare at the scenery, or when I was walking to school I could appreciate the beauty of the colors painted by nature.

One of my fondest memories is watching the birds singing in the branches of the trees. I always felt full of energy and happiness when I would go for a walk on the country roads or sit by the orinoco or meta rivers. It is amazing to see how nature has remained so beautiful all these years. It is as if time has stopped and everything has remained the same since I was born, although now there are more constrictions and businesses, nature continues to make its presence felt.

I hope Puerto Carreño remains a beautiful place for many years to come. There is nothing more beautiful than living surrounded by nature. I am grateful to have been born in this special place.

Due to a sad change of circumstances, I had to move far away, but I moved to a place also surrounded by nature. I ended up growing up in La Paragua, a town in the state of Bolivar, Venezuela. From an early age, my adolescence I kept learning to appreciate the beautiful nature that surrounded me. I loved spending time outside, walking along the country roads or sitting by the river. I always felt energized and happy when I was outdoors and I taught my first two children to do so as well.

I learned to respect nature and to respect the living things around me. I was always taught to treat animals with love and respect and not to harm trees and plants. I also learned to value water and not to waste it. I think that if I had not grown up in this place I would see nature differently, maybe I would not appreciate it as much as I do, so somehow growing up surrounded by nature allowed me to have this vision of life. 

La Paragua also taught me to enjoy the simple beauty of nature. I loved to go for walks and see the beautiful landscapes around me, admire the starry sky or listen to the birds singing. These experiences made me understand the importance of taking care of nature to keep it beautiful. I feel grateful to have grown up in such a special place. La Paragua has always taught me the value of nature and inspired me to take care of it.


Respecting nature and taking care of the environment is a responsibility we all have. Nature gives us everything we need to survive, so it is important that we give something back to her. We should try to minimize the damage we do to it, from not littering in parks to reducing our consumption of resources.

It is also important to learn to appreciate nature. We should get outdoors, enjoy the beauty of our surroundings and reflect on the impact we have on it. This will help us to appreciate nature in a deeper way and motivate us to take better care of it. In short, respecting nature and caring for the environment is a duty we all must fulfill. We should try to minimize the damage we do to it and learn to appreciate nature and its beauty. If we all do our part, we can keep our planet beautiful and healthy.

Would I like to relive these experiences? Of course I would, I would like to live again in a place so far away from pollution, now I live in a place also full of nature, but there are also factories and cars that little by little have been polluting it, I try to be different and take the best possible care of the natural beauty, I sow plants and put food at the entrance of my house so that the birds come to visit me and give me their song.
