<h1>It is no denying Bitcoin has defied "death" in so many ways. The 1000% price surge of the controversial cryptocurrency brought great profits for those who are holding BTC and somehow, skeptical onlookers decided that Bitcoin is an opportunity to make some money taking advantage of its volatility.</h1>

In spite of the fact that Bitcoin made some people some thousands richer, even millions, governments and private sectors aired their concerns if and when the leading cryptocurrency is legally accepted.

In particular, <a href="https://news.bitcoin.com/s-korea-pm-fears-bitcoin-leads-youth-to-drug-dealing-mexico-ready-for-crypto/">PM Lee Nak-yeon of South Korea</a> who sees the premier cryptocurrency as a way for teens with Bitcoins to purchase drugs anonymously from, for example, Mexicans, who are now starting to support the cryptocurrency.

As millennials, the youth of today prefer technology and whether we want to admit it or not, they are very good at it and they feel at home with technology. With easy access to Bitcoin and its acquisition, there is a great possibility that this fear becomes real.  The South Korean PM expressed this concern and to some extent, he is probably right. 

<h2>However, without Bitcoin in the picture, teens and adults alike will always find ways to buy drugs if and when they want to. It's not like there has been no drugs transactions in the past when bitcoin was not around. But the concern is perhaps more on how easy it is now to get things (including drugs) using the cryptocurrency and just a laptop or a smartphone.</h2>

It is possible that a new "Silk Road" may arise providing similar services of the old defunct dark web portal. PM Lee Nak-yeon's concern is legitimate and must be addressed in the most critical manner as this may create chaos especially to the supporters of Bitcoin.  When this is not addressed in a proper way, there will be reasons enough for the government to ban the use, if not ownership, of bitcoin in any country.

Along this line, Mark Haefele, UBS Group chief investment officer, <a href="http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/bitcoin-bubble-investment-value-cryptocurrency-burst-digital-boom-currency-a8086256.html">has something to say</a> about governments taking actions against Bitcoin:
<blockquote>“all it would take would be one terrorist incident in the US funded by bitcoin for the US regulator to much more seriously step in and take action.”</blockquote>

For now, I can see a couple of key participants who can help with this issue: the Wallet providers and the cypto-exchangers to provide the government information to work with whatever policies they may come up with regards to illegal drug trades and terrorism funding.
