Matthew 7:7 says

***Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be open unto you.***

Jesus Christ taught us this. He said we should ask — which is the praying part. If you keep praying without seeking, you will remain stagnant. Action is needed. If you stay closed doors and you are praying for daily bread, manna will not fall from heaven into your room. You have ti step out and do something. 

 Another example given by bro Eli was praying for a house without taking any action to build one. It's not just sufficient to pray and wait. It's important to seek for opportunities , work, save and plan


Acting is important after praying. It’s not sufficient to ask God only. God wants us to engage ourselves with something (He doesn’t want us to be lazy).

If we ask by praying and we seek by acting, God will make us find what we prayed for. So let’s ask and act according to the Scripture so that our prayers won't be in vain. 

God has given us the wisdom to be productive. As we pray, we also seek and knock for him to answer us. May the word of God dwell an abide with us.
