<center>Hola comunidad de @Motherhood en esta oportunidad quiero contarles algo que me sucedió durante el fin de semana con mi hijo Oliver Pérez de tan solo 5 añitos, Oliver un niño alegre y travieso nos tiene acostumbrado en casa a sus travesuras y carcajadas casi que todo el día y parte de la noche; disfrutamos de cada ocurrencia y cuando esta tranquilito nos parece extraño.</center>

<center>Hello @Motherhood community, this time I want to tell you about something that happened to me over the weekend with my son Oliver Perez, only 5 years old, Oliver is a happy and mischievous child and we are used to his antics and laughter almost all day and part of the night; we enjoy every occurrence and when he is quiet it seems strange to us.</center>

<center>El jueves 23 de marzo el niño se fue a la cama temprano, en silencio se durmió, esa noche no hubo ruidos ni desorden de juguetes en la sala, su guante de béisbol estaba en su sitio o lugar de la casa. Su padre, hermanos y yo, igual nos fuimos a la cama temprano; Ya el viernes en la madrugada despierto porque sentía cierta incomodidad en el sueño, encendí la luz y noté que Oliver se tocaba la parte derecha baja del abdomen, con cierto grado de queja. De momento pensé que podía ser un pelotazo en sus prácticas, apliqué un poco de mentol y como no se quejó más volví a la cama.</center>

<center>Al amanecer el viernes en la mañana, el pequeño seguía con malestar, esta vez no tanto el dolor abdominal, sino que pude notar secreción en sus ojos como especie de una conjuntivitis, de igual manera cierta fiebre y un color amarillo o pálido en su piel por lo que decidí llevarlo a un centro asistencial donde le practicaron una serie de exámenes. Al momento en que la licenciada le hacia la toma de la muestra sanguínea el niño se mostró sereno y sin miedo de hecho no lloro como normalmente lo hacen los pequeñitos en estas situaciones.</center>

<center>Después de obtener los resultados de la hematología, examen de orina, eco abdominal, rayos x del tórax y perfil hepático, se determinó que todo estaba en su estado normal y en orden, según el diagnóstico médico residente y la especialista en pediatría, pero la fiebre persistía y de momento el dolor en el abdomen parecía volver, aunque la ecografía practicada tampoco arrojo alteración de apendicitis. A mi parecer y lo que pude observar los médicos en ocasiones tienen que adivinar lo que los niños no pueden ni saben cómo explicar. Al presionar la parte donde aparentemente tenía el dolor la doctora Yoli Evariste -Pediatra, le preguntaba si sentía dolor, a lo que el niño le respondía "SI" y cuando le preguntaba si le molestaba al presionar respondía "NO”. Después de varias preguntas al niño la doctora concluyo que había que recluirlo bajo observación y tratamiento por 24 horas en el centro asistencial.</center>

In my opinion and what I could observe, doctors sometimes have to guess what children cannot and do not know how to explain. When pressing the part where he apparently had pain, Dr. Yoli Evariste -Pediatrician, asked him if he felt pain, to which the child answered "YES" and when she asked him if it bothered him when pressing he answered "NO". After several questions to the child the doctor concluded that the child had to be confined under observation and treatment for 24 hours in the health care center.</center>

<center>El pequeño Oliver al oír que no se podía ir a casa lloro más que cuando le tomaron la vía, pues quería irse a su hogar con sus hermanos, mama y papa tuvimos que lidiar un buen rato para tranquilizarlo hasta que nos enviaron a una habitación privada en la clínica; durante la noche tuvo un poco de fiebre y malestar las enfermeras de guardia tuvieron muy pendiente y nosotros con mucha preocupación porque aún no había un diagnóstico claro y preciso.</center>

<center>When little Oliver heard that he could not go home he cried more than when they took his IV, because he wanted to go home with his siblings, mom and dad had to deal a long time to reassure him until they sent us to a private room in the clinic; during the night he had a slight fever and discomfort, the nurses on duty were very attentive and we were very worried because there was still no clear and accurate diagnosis.</center>

<center>El amanecer del sábado nos trajo buenas noticias, el niño había recuperado su color de piel normal ya tenía nuevo semblante; al llegar el médico residente y la pediatra reunieron a las enfermeras que lo habían atendido revisaron y examinaron nuevamente la prueba de rayos x, hicieron una serie de pregunta relacionadas al caso y al darse cuenta que no había nada de gravedad decidieron enviar al niño a casa con tratamiento estricto por siete días para tratar una infección respiratoria.</center>

<center>The dawn of Saturday brought good news, the child had recovered his normal skin color and had a new look; upon arrival the resident physician and the pediatrician gathered the nurses who had attended him, reviewed and examined the x-ray test again, asked a series of questions related to the case and realizing that there was nothing serious, they decided to send the child home with strict treatment for seven days to treat a respiratory infection.</center>

<center>Después de unos días de ir cumpliendo al pie de la letra las indicaciones médicas, sus remedios recetados a la hora, sus nebulizaciones puntuales y de igual manera una dieta a base de vitamina "E". El pequeño Oliver ya empieza hacer ruido en la casa; la conjuntivitis, la tos con flema, las fiebres han ido desapareciendo paulatinamente. Como madres y padre nos preocupamos por nuestros pequeños, mi recomendación o consejo es no desesperarse porque con ese estado anímico a veces nos estancamos y cerramos el camino a las soluciones. Hubo un momento que al oír que a mi hijo había que dejarlo hospitalizado tanto su padre @ovelperez82 nos desesperamos y pensamos que era algo grave, aunque a mi parecer todo es preocupante solo debemos concentrarnos en cómo solucionar oír antes de actuar o tomar decisiones a la ligera.</center>

As mothers and fathers we worry about our little ones, my recommendation or advice is not to despair because with this state of mind sometimes we get stuck and we close the way to solutions. There was a moment when we heard that my son had to be hospitalized and his father @ovelperez82 we despaired and thought it was something serious, although in my opinion everything is worrying we should just focus on how to solve hearing before acting or making decisions lightly.</center>
