Creating your own space at home that makes me feel a little immersed in nature, even though I live in the city, is a great ploy to find your own dimension and relax from the hectic daily life. My wife has thus transformed a small veranda of the house into an oasis of peace with many plants, and some ornamental furnishings. The transformation undergone is incredible: a space made of concrete and bricks, often unused, has become the relaxation area par excellence.

The flooring was entirely covered with a synthetic lawn, unfortunately there was no other solution at the time and it is perhaps the only note that clashes, although it is always better than a cold tile floor. My wife uses many aromatic plants in the kitchen and so we decided to furnish part of the shutters with colored pot holders and basil and mint plants. In addition to being aesthetically beautiful plants, their intense scent is really very pleasant and is an excellent ingredient for fresh cocktails to be enjoyed comfortably seated.

The bonsai were given to us by friends when we bought the house. They are plants that need a lot of care and attention and it is a great exercise for our mind. Do you kind of remember the master Kesuke Miyagi from the movie The Karate Kid? The state of relaxation with which he took care of his plants was by no means exaggerated, it is a feeling difficult to explain for those who are not fond of plants

There are several succulents, which I personally love because they are aesthetically very nice to look at and some of them bloom with small colored flowers, of great impact from the visual point of view. Some seedlings are kept in decorative pots, others have been transplanted into larger pots. Succulents have an important function of absorbing electromagnetic waves and therefore act as an umbrella for our body, defending us from an airspace now saturated with electromagnetism due to telephone and internet companies.

And here is the small garden where everything has been idealized for a small space but sufficient to create an earthly paradise. A small stream would have been ideal (I love the sound of flowing water) but we are thinking of buying something that can reproduce a mini waterfall, a vase that also contains a small stream, Zen-like style. For now we are completely satisfied and we are enjoying this oasis of peace in the free moments of the day.

Taking care of our mental well-being, not just physical, has enormous benefits. Stress is the cause of many ills, not only psychological, but also physical, worsening the state of health of our body.
