Dan Larimer - Why All The Scorn?

## I'm constantly amazed by all the hate that Dan Larimer receives for his exit on previous projects Bitshares and here on Steem.

*It baffles me because no one ever likes to talk about the exit of Satoshi Nakamoto.*

Every one of these people that take jabs at Larimer never once throw a snide remark to Nakamoto's name.  Satoshi launched bitcoin in January of 2009 and completely vanished by mid 2010. He completely left without a trace.... 

Dan is still around and is still advising on things that he helped create. He might not have an active role any longer but at least he's still in the space helping to create and innovate.

Where the fuck is Satoshi?

To wrap up:
1. Dan is still here, still trying to grow and excel blockchain tech - still gets a bad wrap for taking less-active roles on his projects
2. Satoshi is nowhere to be found - gets revered as the savior of our time

**Fun Fact:** Dan was working on creating a cryptocurrency of his own around the same time Satoshi made Bitcoin. Satoshi just beat him to the punch.

I'm from a world (publically traded corporation) where if you choose to leave your company you do it in the least harmful way.  You announce carefully, and you setup those behind you to do well.

As an investor, I thought the way it was handled showed no concern for people who believed in him and invested in him.

Fortunately for his investors, it seemed to create a  pump vs. a dump.

I love the comparison though, and I think it is relative and an interesting point of view.
