Last week I visited the marina in Westport, Wash.

This is a selection from the photos I took that day, which I'm working up for a longer photography post. It offers a view from the three-story viewing tower that stands between the marina and the Pacific Ocean, which is about a mile off to the left of where we're looking in this photo. This is right at the entrance to Grays Harbor, and across the bay you can see the city of Ocean Shores.

The day began overcast, but about halfway through my photoshoot, the clouds moved off, so I was able to capture a mix of the typical grey skies we see in Grays Harbor and the wonderful clarity of our blue skies when the sun does come out.

I've taken two photography trips to Westport this year. You can view photos of my first visit in [Catching Waves in Westport.](https://peakd.com/hive-194913/@cliffagreen/catching-waves-in-westport) As the title suggests, for that trip I explored the beach and photographed the waves crashing into the rocks. My upcoming post will feature the marina and the fishing boats.
