为何中西方的古代爵位都是「公、侯、伯、子、男」？

中方的古代爵位是「公、侯、伯、子、男」，西方的古代爵位为「Duke、Marquess、Earl、Viscount、Baron」，刚好也是五级，所以在翻译上，就翻译成了「公、侯、伯、子、男」，也就是对应翻译 ...

比如某个水果，我们叫它为苹果，西方称之为「Apple」，这个「Apple」，我们便把它翻译为苹果 ...

「公、侯、伯、子、男」始于西周，是周天子分封给诸侯国的等级之称谓，周天子的称谓则是「王」...

后来中央集权，取消了分封国的制度，「公、侯、伯、子、男」便转变成了爵位的称呼，而「王」成了封给皇室宗亲的称谓，天子的称谓改为「皇」、「帝」、「皇帝」等等...

许多朝代，异姓是不被封王的，所以「公」的地位便相当于为王，比如柳国公、鲁国公等等，这些国公便会被称之为王爷，其子为「世子」，皇帝的儿子则是称之为「皇子」...

这些国公，称号虽为国公，但分封的地方并不是国，也不能建国，分封的地方大都是郡县，且各级官府的官员是由中央所指派的，但接受国公的领导，类似于地方首长 ...
