If you are living in virtual simulation, how would you know you live in it?

I know most of the people will say it is impossible that we live in virtual reality simulation. First argument is usually  something like *'You can touch stuff and so that is proof it isn't virtual simulation.'*  My question is... Can virtual simulation be created with parameters to appear to be solid? What if you are living in it now? If you don't think so, how can be sure you aren't living in simulation? How can you prove you are not in simulation?
