Hi fellow Hiveians, Today I'm here with an out of character post for me, but one that I think holds an important message politically. <center></center> # Intentional Polarization There are many things wrong with the world today and I think all of it is caused by corruption, greed and lust for power. I'm in a spot where I've been a little reflective of some things in my life and one of those things that I am aware of right now is how much I think I've changed on a lot of things in life over the past several years. Change is one of the things that I think is very important for people, and a lot of those same people don't realize that some change is great, and others not so great. One of the changes I've been able to do and manage is my political leanings. I've been to various different parts of the spectrum, left leaning, center-left, center-right and right. What I find annoying and odd is the dichotomy that we are in. There aren't the ranges that we see in everything else in life, there is left or right. With as many things as America does right and has done right, this force into a two party system is quite annoying and frustrating, but I digress. Back to the point of the post! Lol. The changes I've undergone are important because I *recognize* that I've made those changes. I reflect on things quite often, almost daily I would think, to reevaluate where things are for me mentally and in lots of areas of my life. no matter what most of us get shafted What I've noticed over the last decade or so has been a dedicated and continued effort to mess up the political environment that is the United States. There was once a day that I remember, mildly at best, where people were *moderate* on a lot of things! They believed in something that either side did or believed in, and didn't go to the fucking extremes to have that view. There was always the wild people that were on the fringes of it all but for the most part, I think a lot of people were very much centers and moderates, which I think is important to be able to have and manage. What has been a direct effort on so many levels has been the intentional polarization of the discussion in so many parts of our lives. You can see it in politics that's on the TV and spewed out by the media. Instead of being anti-abortion except for a few scenarios that can indeed be troublesome, you are either WITH it or AGAINST it. This is absolutely a psychological battle to break down the spirit of Americans, if you are forcing so many people in one way or another to make decision A or B, with zero option for other choices C, D, E, F, g or H as so many things in life that are not just one or the other, we have an intense battle being waged against us. I think the reason for this is that it's a lot easier to control people that are in either Camp A or Camp B. The more camps you have the less control you have over the people because you have to spread your shit out. All of the distraction topics on the tube or media poison feeders put out there, it's all 2 sided stuff for the most part. Pro life or pro abortion, black lives matter or nothing, for Ukraine versus against Ukraine. It's all very shallow shit that is easy to have in a 30 second sound byte. What I'm trying to convey here is that there is a dedicated effort to keep people on the poles of a magnet. If you keep people polarized then it will keep them from understanding that we have far more in common than we don't have in common. So many of us want food on the table, a decent place to live, stable family and work life and so many other things. What those commonalities can do is make it so that we can have a discussion about something and come to reasonable stances on topics based on our life experiences and choices. In the run up for the (~~s~~)election circus that's coming up in a few short weeks here in the United States, one of the things that I'm trying to get my fellow people around me and in places that I go and strike up a conversation is that we need to stop letting these crazy media mouthpieces and government officials to polarize us. We are so much better and stronger than the hot button issues that have not really a whole lot of effect on our daily lives the way a good job, steady meal and other things do when they are passing bills handing away hundreds of billions of dollars to foreign countries around the world, many who could care less about the American people themselves. There are far more important things we should be caring about and the other aspect of that is that *everything* is something to be discussed and healthily debated. We may not agree on everything but if we can manage to stay away from the poles of an argument, I think there is a lot to be said and gained from that perspective and we may even change some of ours, or if we don't at least walk away with more information and knowledge than we did in the beginning. I've seen a number of posts, articles and comments on the internet in various areas that I think are making this more difficult than it needs to be. The shallow, hollow perspectives of 100% for or against something without having any wiggle room for hearing or being exposed to a differing sides perspective is a travesty but perhaps a product of just being human. I thought about how to make that a positive spin but sadly, the internet hasn't really changed a lot but has echoed a lot of things back to people's ears and egos. I think in the end, my point I'm trying to make is never vote based on fear because that's the easiest vote to get. "Vote for me because the other guy is mean!!!!111" If you vote based on fear then you will be controlled the rest of your life by that fear. Vote based on policies, records and information that you think is true or factual in your experience, whichever way that may lead you. Do not be afraid to agree with a candidate on one side on one issue and vote for them, and a candidate on a different side and agree with them as well so they get a vote. The thing we can do is at least try to learn about different perspectives because that can make an important change for our own. Being all one side is dangerous! <center></center> <center>**Connect with me!**</center> Do you want to get paid, in crypto, for searching the internet? Hello from Cuba. Sorry for arriving late to the post, but I'm curious about the Presearch project. I already used your referred link (don't know if that was visible to you) to register myself there, and later went to see the market live price. I don't get the value you are using for obtaing the equivalent in USD of your tokens. Please if possible I'll reach you via Peakd chat. Best regards .

Polarization is the ultimate result of democracy. I think Plato identified this problem back in ancient Greece. I've never read Republic, but he talks about how a democracy always ends in tyranny because consensus is never achieved. The best we can do is to withdraw from politics and discussions, preserve our families and wealth, build a solid survival base (land), pass along good values to our children, etc.

I all agree with your words. When it comes to political matter, we must not make our judgments personally or just being one sided, but we have to weigh it to the point if he or she deserves the vote to win and be proclaimed a leader. Sad to say that here in my side, there is greed which comes in many forms, making way to win not to mention vote buying, sabotage, and corruption had been issues for the past years. Personally, I always view on different perspectives not just at one angle. I just hope that what is right and proper would be followed by many and not be deceived by a one-sided face. I hope you are having a great time my friend and take care.

Yes absolutely! We need to leave emotions out of it, because emotions are what they are depending on to distract us with. If we can think logically about what they do, what they are aiming to accomplish and then measure it against what their opponents are doing, then we can come to the proper conclusion. Sadly, corruption and money go hand in hand in government. There is so much corruption in politics it's insane, every single country has it. I think the best thing we can do is to push for change as locally as possible. The local elections and politicians that live in our neighborhoods are the best ones that we can have positive or negative impacts on depending on the scenario. If we can have several years of that in regions then that can expand and it's a ripple effect and benefits lots of others at the same time. It is a difficult process but with politics, it often is affecting our lives so we have to do something!
