BTS on top of EOS - what's the model?

What kind of restructuring would that entail? Seems like most of what BitShares does at the moment could be done by EOS directly.

Would the BTS core asset have any purpose?
Would the BitShares Dapp on top of EOS still want to charge transaction fees?
Would every asset pair still be denominated in BTS?

I'm guessing the BitAssets like BitUSD, BitEURO, etc. would still be collateralized by BTS. But seems like EOS could be the new token that collateralizes Market Pegged Assets no?

Seems like EOS could "cut out the middleman" that is the BitShares chain (now a Dapp). I haven't put much thought into it yet and would love to have you smart people to discuss with!

Doubt it'll happen, there's been no BSIP written on the matter & it's a massive proposal to move BTS onto EOS, it will be a far more difficult sell than the last merger.

Sidechains/Interoperability between BTS:EOS or simply forking EOS to sharedrop onto BTS holders are more plausible.

OK so say someone where to sharedrop the new EOS-DEX to BTS holders, What would that new DEX look like? What would be the purpose of the core asset? Would their even be one?

I think that a BTS on EOS would be a fork of BTS and the original BTS would stay unchanged. A 'move' to EOS is unlikely imho.

My theory, and maybe this is just obvious to everyone else... is that you've been playing for time because you've been wanting to launch MUSE on EOS, which is completely understandable.

Bitshares has no inflation and entire witness system can be changed to be just about paying for oracle feeds.

Some people aren't sure about having bandwidth model for exchange where you might want to go fast for a fee rather than have to wait your turn in bandwidth model. There are many supporters to just making it a sidechain using EOS cross-chain communication.
