Este es un post sobre Samus Aran. 

Cuanta historia del videojuego se puede contar solo viendo los titulos de uno de los gigantes que han estado practicamente desde el inicio, **Nintendo** ha sido de esas compañias que con cada paso sentaban huella en la industria, ya fuese poniendo en el mercado titulos tan innovadores como Ocarina Of Time, reinventando las nociones basicas de algunos generos con juegos como Mario Galaxy o en casos un poco mas opacados dandole representacion a un sector que en principio no tenia demasiada en el videojuego, las mujeres tenian pocos personajes en los que mirarse y para que se den una idea solo hasta la fecha en la que aparecio la protagonista de **Metroid** solo Ms. Pacman tenia un rol protagonico en un juego y era del genero femenino. 

Pero aparte de ese hito que Samus Aran marco por aquellos años con el tiempo he sabido apreciar su historia y desde la primera vez que jugue un metroid me ha encantado demas la armadura que lleva asi como tambien las historias y todo el lore detras de ella, mucho de lo que voy a explicar aca no se ha explicado en videojuegos sino en contenidos aparte como comics o guias visuales de algunos juegos, las entregas que saca Nintendo no estan especialmente enfocadas en brindar una historia demasiado vistosa pero eso no ha parado a la comunidad y a Nintendo a desarrollar sus propios contenidos que complementan estos juegos.

Las aventuras de Samus comienzan desde muy pequeña viviendo en una de las colonias especiales pertenecientes a la Federacion Galactica, alli una joven niña vivia con sus padres en uno de los principales mercados que comerciaba con distintas especies y mantenia unaa relativa estabilidad en su vida, y digo relativa porque a la edad de 3 Samus iba a perder a sus padres producto de un asalto de piratas espaciales que tenian como objetivo acabar con la colonia y robar todos los recursos de esta, la joven iba a ver sacrificandose a sus dos padres para luego ser rescatada por una de las especies antiguas del mundo, los Chozo, que serian una de las criaturas mas importantes de la saga dotando a Samus con entrenamiento y conocimiento de la galaxia.

De aqui es donde vino la iconica armadura, despues de varios aprendiendo con los Chozo y desarrollando tecnologia, a Samus se le seria entregada la armadura que la transformaba en un soldado todoterreno dotandola con habilidades y su sello caracteristico, esta armadura al ser desarrollada por la especie Chozo podia modificarse facilmente con varias mejoras desarrolladas por la misma especie pero dispersas en todos los planetas, son estas mejoras las que vemos en cada uno de los juegos de Metroid. Despues de obtener esta armadura Samus vagaria brevemente entre planetas para luego por fin unirse a la Fuerza Espacial de la Federacion Galactica, que vendria siendo algo asi como un fuerza policial espacial,  en ella Samus escalaria los rangos rapidamente hasta convertirse en uno de los generales de su escuadron al servicio de los lideres de la Federacion para realizar misiones que nadie podria.

Y asi Samus con su traje realizan todo tipo de misiones junto a su nave y su escuadron, es aqui en donde se desarrollan la mayoria de los juegos clasicos de Metroid, teniendo por ejemplo a Samus infiltrandose a un planeta laboratorio para destruir una inteligencia artificial que amenazaba con superar a la Federacion Galactica, es aqui en donde Samus tambien se consigue y derrota a uno de los piratas que arrasaron su colonia años antes, Ridley y Samus tienen una de las rivalidades mas conocidas de los videojuegos y aunque aqui este pirata no es el boss final si que agrega un contexto interesante que luego el contenido añadido en forma de manga o guias de juego reforzaria.

Para la saga moderna de Metroid vemos a una Samus Aran en el pico de su carrera en la Federacion, esta a las ordenes de generales del mas alto rango cumpliendo misiones que solo ella puede hacer con su armadura pero aun asi un dia, sin previo aviso se va para no volver, deja su puesto en la Federacion, recoge su nave y se marcha a la galaxia para convertirse en un cazarrecompensas que es basicamente como la mayoria de los jugadores la conocen, aunque tengo otros personajes que me encantan en los videojuegos creo que Samus fue la primera que dejo una impresion en mi de pequeño, era muy fan de Star Wars y Metroid era algo asi como un derivado al menos en genero de esas peliculas, tenia una genial armadura ademas de unos ataques muy vistosos, bingo, ya era de mis personajes favoritos.

This is a post about Samus Aran. 

How much video game history can be told just by looking at the titles of one of the giants that have been around practically since the beginning, **Nintendo** has been one of those companies that with every step made a mark in the industry, whether it was putting on the market such innovative titles like Ocarina Of Time, reinventing the basic notions of some genres with games like Mario Galaxy or in cases a little more overshadowed giving representation to a sector that in principle did not have too much in the video game, women had few characters to look at and to give you an idea only until the date in which the protagonist of **Metroid** appeared, only Ms. Pacman had a female starring role in a game.

But apart from the milestone that Samus Aran set in those years, with time I have come to appreciate her story and since the first time I played a metroid I have loved the armor she wears as well as the stories and all the lore behind it, Much of what I'm going to explain here has not been explained in video games but in separate content such as comics or visual guides of some games, the deliveries that Nintendo brings out are not especially focused on providing a story too showy but that has not stopped the community and Nintendo to develop their own content that complement these games.

Samus' adventures begin at a very young age living in one of the special colonies belonging to the Galactic Federation, there a young girl lived with her parents in one of the main markets that traded with different species and maintained a relative stability in her life, and I say relative because at the age of 3 Samus was going to lose her parents product of an assault of space pirates that had as objective to finish with the colony and to steal all the resources of this one, the young girl was going to see sacrificing her two parents for then to be rescued by one of the ancient species of the world, the Chozo, that would be one of the most important creatures of the saga endowing Samus with training and knowledge of the galaxy.

From here is where came the iconic armor, after several learning with the Chozo and developing technology, Samus would be given the armor that transformed her into an all-terrain soldier endowing her with skills and his trademark, this armor to be developed by the Chozo species could be easily modified with various improvements developed by the same species but scattered throughout the planets, these improvements are the ones we see in each of the Metroid games. After obtaining this armor Samus would briefly wander between planets and then finally join the Space Force of the Galactic Federation, which would be something like a space police force, in it Samus would climb the ranks quickly to become one of the generals of his squadron in the service of the leaders of the Federation to perform missions that no one could.

And so Samus with his suit perform all kinds of missions with his ship and his squadron, is here where most of the classic Metroid games are developed, having for example Samus infiltrating a laboratory planet to destroy an artificial intelligence that threatened to overtake the Galactic Federation, It is here where Samus also gets and defeats one of the pirates who razed his colony years before, Ridley and Samus have one of the best known rivalries of video games and although here this pirate is not the final boss if it adds an interesting context that then the added content in the form of manga or game guides would reinforce.

For the modern Metroid saga we see a Samus Aran at the peak of her career in the Federation, she is under the orders of generals of the highest rank fulfilling missions that only she can do with her armor but yet one day, without warning she leaves never to return, she leaves her position in the Federation, picks up her ship and goes off into the galaxy to become a bounty hunter which is basically how most gamers know her, although I have other characters that I love in video games I think Samus was the first one that left an impression on me as a kid, I was a big fan of Star Wars and Metroid was something like a derivative at least in genre of those movies, she had a great armor plus some very colorful attacks, bingo, she was already one of my favorite characters.
