E' stato per puro caso che ieri mi sia imbattuta in un contest [che vuole conoscere meglio i lettori di Hive](https://peakd.com/hive-180164/@hive-180164/community-contest-3-all-about-readers). Questa settimana è stata molto impegnativa e per questo sono stata molto distratta nella frequentazione di questo luogo di svago e, quando parliamo di libri, di una porta che si apre su un mondo di sogni e fantasia. Oggi è l'ultimo giorno del contest, quindi non so se i miei amici lettori e scrittori @emrys77 e @uggya riusciranno a partecipare, ma sicuramente conosceranno questa stanza dove le persone suggeriscono mondi fantastici creati dalla fantasia di uomini e donne di ogni età ed estrazione sociale. Spero di non aver perso il senso delle domande rivolte con la traduzione nella mia lingua, ma sono certa che sarà comunque un momento perfetto di scambio e conoscenza reciproca.

Today is the last day of the contest, so I don't know if my reader and writer friends @emrys77 and @uggya will be able to participate, but they will surely know this room where people suggest fantastic worlds created by the imagination of men and women of all ages and walks of life. I hope I haven't lost the sense of the questions asked with the translation in my language, but I'm sure it will still be a perfect moment of exchange and mutual knowledge.

Purtroppo non sempre è facile ritagliarsi il tempo per sognare in una vita frenetica, ma le passioni e gli amori dell'adolescenza sono impossibili da dimenticare del tutto. Il rapporto con i libri e la lettura si trasforma, si attenua, ma non scompare mai.
>Unfortunately, it's not always easy to carve out time to dream in a hectic life, but the passions and loves of adolescence are impossible to forget entirely. The relationship with books and reading transforms, fades, but never disappears.

**Qual è il tuo momento o luogo preferito per leggere?**
Ogni momento è il momento giusto per leggere, soprattutto se il libro che stai leggendo ti appassiona. Quando un libro ti cattura vuoi solo arrivare in fretta alla fine e sfrutti ogni istante disponibile per immergerti tra le sue pagine. 
Anche se ogni posto è buono per leggere ci sono due luoghi che io preferisco e cioè il letto e la vasca da bagno.
So che sono luoghi molto diversi tra loro, ma sono quelli dove mi rilasso di più. Che sia giorno o notte non importa, un bel libro, sdraiata sul letto a leggere e, in inverno, avvolta da una bella coperta. Il letto è il posto ideale per sognare e forse è quello il motivo per cui lo trovo ideale per leggere.
Per l'altro mio luogo del cuore... so che è strano, ma l'acqua calda che mi sfiora e mi trasmette quel senso di galleggiamento tipico dei corpi immersi è un aiuto sensoriale che accresce le sensazioni della lettura.
>**What is your favorite time or place to read?**
Any time is a good time to read, especially if you are passionate about the book you are reading. When a book captures you you just want to get to the end quickly and use every available moment to immerse yourself within its pages. 
Although any place is good for reading there are two places I prefer and that is the bed and the bathtub.
I know they are very different places, but they are the ones where I relax the most. Whether it's day or night it doesn't matter, a good book, lying on the bed reading and, in winter, wrapped in a nice blanket. The bed is the perfect place to dream and maybe that's the reason why I find it ideal for reading.
For my other place of the heart... I know it's strange, but the warm water that touches me and gives me that sense of floating typical of immersed bodies is a sensory aid that enhances the sensations of reading.


**Cosa ti fa apprezzare un libro?**
Un libro deve essere coinvolgente, deve invitarti a lasciare il luogo dove ti trovi per immergerti tra le sue pagine. Apprezzo libri suddivisi in brevi capitoli che permettono la lettura in ogni momento.  
In un libro cerco un luogo di fuga dalla realtà, quindi apprezzo e amo tutti quei libri che ti fanno perdere il senso del tempo e del luogo. E' bello estraniarsi e sentirsi soli e fermi in mezzo ad un mondo che corre frenetico.
>**What makes you enjoy a book?**
A book has to be engaging, it has to invite you to leave where you are to immerse yourself within its pages. I appreciate books divided into short chapters that allow for reading at any time.  
In a book I look for a place of escape from reality, so I appreciate and love all those books that make you lose your sense of time and place. It's nice to be estranged and feel alone and still in the midst of a fast-paced world.

**Ti piace leggere all'aperto, prima di dormire o sull'autobus mentre vai al lavoro?**
Nella mia adolescenza il momento in cui leggevo di più era a letto prima di dormire. Lottavo contro me stessa ad ogni pagina dicendomi che *Arrivo al prossimo punto e poi spengo e dormo* oppure *Ancora due pagine e finisco il capitolo* adesso il luogo dove ho più tempo per la lettura è sui mezzi pubblici nel tragitto tra casa e lavoro. Non ho più il libro di carta da sfogliare, ma un modernissimo e-book che, suo malgrado, non da le stesse sensazioni della carta.
>**Do you like to read outdoors, before bed or on the bus on your way to work?**
In my teenage years, the time I read the most was in bed before bed. I used to fight myself on every page telling myself that *I'll get to the next point and then I'll turn off and sleep* or *Two more pages and I'll finish the chapter* now the place where I have the most time for reading is on public transportation on the way between home and work. I no longer have a paper book to flip through, but a modern e-book that, despite itself, does not give the same feeling as paper.

**Ti concentri sullo sviluppo dei personaggi, sui messaggi riflessivi o sul livello di intrigo che una trama genera in te?**
La cosa fondamentale è quello che l'autore riesce a trasmettere a livello di emozioni e immagini. Come riesce a creare intorno a me l'ambiente in cui si svolge la storia. Successivamente vengono i personaggi, la loro caratterizzazione e quei dettagli che li rendono diversi dalla massa. 
Non in tutti i libri che leggo cerco una morale o un messaggio da trasmettere, ma apprezzo quelle storie che hanno una fine che stupisce, non scontata e prevedibile.
>**Do you focus on character development, thoughtful messages, or the level of intrigue a plot generates in you?**
The key thing is what the author manages to convey in terms of emotion and imagery. How he manages to create around me the environment in which the story takes place. Then come the characters, their characterization and those details that make them different from the crowd. 
Not in all the books I read do I look for a moral or a message to convey, but I appreciate those stories that have an ending that surprises, not obvious and predictable.
