0% Forex Credit Card

A lot of people from India go for international travel. I too have went to Dubai for travelling, and the problem people face is the other country currency. The problem is people don't know how much currency to carry, if it is safe to carry the currency or not. And if you want to convert from one currency to another, you have to pay a considerable amount for the conversion.

The fix which I have also used is the 0% forex credit cards. There are a lot of credit cards in India which provides 0% foreign. That means if you use your credit card in other countries you just have to pay the currency conversion without any additional amount. For example, when I went to Dubai 1 AED is around Rs 23. Now if I have to convert from India or from Dubai I have to pay Rs 25 per AED I.e. over 9% the actual amount.

But with the 0% forex I just converted my Indian Rupee to AED in Rs 23.2. 0.2 because again the currency fluctuates and I will get the days currency. Also the Visa Card has their colurrwncy converter which was little higher than the traded value. But overall I just have to pay less than 1% or sometimes 0% for my conversion. And the best part I don't have to carry the currency at all.

I was swiping my card every where and getting the benefit. Though on a safer side I have carried some AED but that is just for extreme situation and I didn't required it at all. And that's why I feel having the 0% forex card is a must if you are travelling outside India. Even if for work it's a good thing to have. I have 2 cards which gives me 0% forex, one Niyo Equitas Debit Card and other is AU Ixigo Credit Card. I have to take AU ixigo because of International lounge which was discontinued by the Niyo Debit Card.

So overall it is my goto card for travelling outside India. And I will recommend everyone the same.
