A question we hear all the time is:
Will the Blockchain technology change the world?
Well…
It has already begun! Until now, a contract required two “signed” copies - one for you, and one for the other party, so that you each had a copy you could trust. Now, the blockchain holds the single signed “original” that you can both see any time - and the system is designed so that it’s trustless - that means you don’t need to trust anyone else, because you know you’re looking at the authentic thing.
If you have dollar bills in your hand, you can lose them, or they can be stolen. If your house burns down, your cash is gone. But if you have your private keys for a crypto wallet in a safe place, your cryptos are safe.
Another thing on how cryptos are changing the world is, when you want to send some cryptos to a friend, you can do it directly to whoever you want - you don’t go through someone else (like PayPal, Venmo or Western Union.)
And when you’ve sent them, you and your friend won’t forget if it’s done or not, because the transfer is on the blockchain if you want to check for it. It’s totally transparent.
