<p>On October 31, 2008 Satoshi Nakamoto published the white paper of Bitcoin and till now he is the anonymous creator of the first crypto currency. This day along with January 3, 2009, when the genesis block was generated, is considered one of the key dates in the history of Bitcoin and decentralization in general. </p>
<p>And since that time we are moving slowly but confidently in this direction, in the direction of the absolute reorganization and restructuring of enterprises, both small and large, and the reorganization and replacement of styles and methods of managing them to more modern ones: honest, free, complex, decentralized. </p>
<p>And the team of DAOstack is on this wave too, on the right and huge wave, the wave which will change our world to better. </p>

<p><strong>So let's figure out what the DAOstack is and what's special about it.</strong></p>
<p>First of all what is DAO?</p>
<p>DAO or a decentralized autonomous organization are companies based on blockchain technology that do not have traditional owners and central governing bodies like a board of directors, CEO, CFO or vice presidents. There is no hierarchy at all.</p>
<p>By simply words DAO is a combination of computer code, blockchain, smart-contracts and people who created the basic rules of management and thought out how it will work.</p>
<p>And the DAOstack is a platform for decentralized governance that enables collectives to self-organize around shared goals or values, easily and efficiently. DAOstack is sometimes called an operating system for collective intelligence, or a Wordpress for DAOs.</p>
<p>The original purpose of creating the platform was not only to build a specific protocol or application, but something more, the team wanted to prepare the ground for building and prospering of the ecosystem for the DAO as a whole, that would allow to develop and adopt blockchain and crypto currencies ecosystems all over the globe.</p>

<p>The first application being built on the stack is <strong>Alchemy</strong>, an intuitive user interface for budgeting and resource allocation for decentralized organizations. </p>
<p>With Alchemy, anyone will be able to create a DAO in a few clicks, create an ERC20 crypto token if desired, and invite others to participate in a hub of decision-making and talent-sharing. </p>
<p>In Alchemy’s early releases, participants will be able to create and vote on proposals, have funds transfer automatically when proposals pass, and reward contributors with both tokens and reputation (voting power). </p>
<p>The future roadmap for Alchemy includes greater customization, integration with other popular collaboration tools, mobile support, and bounty systems.</p>
<p><strong>The GEN Token and the Holographic Consensus</strong></p>
<p>Holographic consensus is a new, complex decision-making process on a large scale, which will operate with a GEN token.</p>
<p><strong>GEN</strong> is the attention token of the DAOstack ecosystem. Just as gas, paid in ETH, procures the collective attention of the decentralized world computer known as Ethereum, GEN can procure collective human attention. And a prediction market, running on GEN, helps each DAO to prioritize the most important proposals.</p>
<p><strong>The Genesis DAO - built to prove the concept</strong></p>
<p>Genesis DAO – the first DAO within the DAOstack ecosystem – will be piloting Alchemy to collectively manage a fund, with the purpose of advancing the DAOstack project and ecosystem. </p>
<p>DAOstack will be inviting the community to participate in the Genesis DAO and help manage its resources by creating and voting on proposals according to its governance system, the Genesis Protocol. </p>
<p>The Genesis DAO will manage an increasingly large fund as it demonstrates stability, eventually being responsible for most of the expected funds resulting from the GEN token sale. </p>
