## Hello Hive

Hey everyone, it's us @minigunner and @artakush from the CBRS Podcast! We're back with another episode, number 43 already, time flies, right? We kicked things off talking about how we're heading into vacation mode soon. Yeah, one of us is off for a couple of weeks and coming back pn the 24th, so we might have to skip the next #podcast or try to squeeze in an online one if we can. ## CBRS Talk Show on X

This week was super packed for us. We hosted our first [X Spaces](https://x.com/i/spaces/1mrGmPMAvkdKy) together with @starkerz and Boy Mass, and it went awesome. We mostly let them chat about all blockchain stuff, and it turned into a two-hour deep dive. Then, out of nowhere, @theycallmedan jumped in too—it was like a surprise guest star! We loved hearing both sides of the story, comparing different chains and tech. It's healthy to cross-pollinate ideas like that, you know? See what other blockchains are doing better and how we can level up #Hive.

Speaking of Boy Mass, we're planning another talk with him soon. He'll share more about Polana, his Jam protocol, and why he picked Polkadot and Solana. We dove into the whole history of Hive in this episode too, super fun to relive that.

Right before the X Spaces, we hopped onto a #HiveThrive session. It was buzzing with people, and we chatted with folks like @meno and @shadowspub. We were spacing out for almost four hours straight that evening on Discord and on X, loved every minute!

## Hive-Echo Supporting Hive on X

We got into a fun debate sparked by [Armani Ferrante](https://x.com/armaniferrante/status/1952933992736657875)'s post on X about which crypto forks are better than the originals. We think Hive is the prime example that is way better than #Steem because Steem's full of bots draining the pools, while Hive's all about real building and engagement. No CEO, just us users making #dapps and driving everything grassroots-style. Ethereum might count too, since it's evolved past Ethereum Classic, but @starkerz disagreed. Our community jumped in the comments, but like always, the big accounts never reply. Feels like they're mostly baiting for interactions.

## Hivefest Updates

#HiveFest is kicking off with Conference Day 1 in a fancy Theater called REX and it looks epic with all the red vibes. Can't wait to see how it goes. Then, the Hive #Witness Town Hall is back on September 10 in the main Hive Discord. Everyone's welcome—we're curious what topics they'll cover. Feels like things are picking up after our podcasts sparked some energy!

Big news: #TheDappList got rebranded to Rayo. We're wondering why the change? Word dApp in domain name is good for SEO, but Rayo? Kinda random. Maybe updates coming that could benefit Hive, even if we're not adding new #dapps right now.

Don't miss #NFTopia @consumerbreak, the online conference from August 16-17. Hive and other DApps will be there. We checked it out early and it looks slick with avatars wandering around. You can even make a Pink Cold Beetroot Soup one if we figure out how to make it!

@zypto App is stepping in now that our direct Fiat-to-Hive payments are gone. It'll handle credit cards and more, integrating with Hive. But watch out for #KYC, we think it requires it, which might not suit everyone. As long as it makes getting Hive easier without being too pricey, we're game.

## Splinterland Discord Hack

Watch out folks, @Splinterlands Discord got hacked! @davemccoy and @deserteagle started posting scam links. We laughed at first (reminds us of when our classmate's kid accidentally spammed ours), but seriously, don't click anything until they sort it. Scams are everywhere with weird links. We even chatted with a fake "Miss Team Crypto" account from 2015 trying to lure us into trading. We flipped it and tried teaching her about Hive instead!

Shoutout to JoseRodriguez @josepimpo and his ATMs in Mexico. You can buy crypto like Bitcoin, soon USDT, even gold (it spits it out!), and pay utility bills. Wild! But Jose, when Hive and HBD? We've got debit cards that are perfect for ATMs. Maybe expand to Guatemala too? Just drive one over!

I know someone on Hive who manages the X account for a big shot. He was scolded by the account owner for interacting with accounts below their level (as influence on X). That is probably why these influencers instigate the interactions from smaller accounts, but don't bother to reply.
