There seems to be two main groups or types of people here on steemit. Those who are here seeking money and those who are here seeking community.  Enough said.

The idea of buying upvote is so foreign to me. I am truly new, to investing some of my sbd for an upvotes. I, Myself not a good mathematician, thus I am truly skeptical with the return of investment and such. Anyhow, since you mentioned about genesis mining, I am going to pass on this article to someone I know ^^-

Interesting.

A couple of corrections though.

Firstly, voting for a post that is more than 7 days old is not 'quite' a wasted vote. It simply adds 1 to the vote tally - and has no effect upon voting power or rewards (I just confirmed this by up-voting one of your older posts).

Secondly - you make some good points but I also feel that you may be overlooking the element of herd voter psychology. People are, for better and worse, more inclined to vote on a post with a pay-bot's reward showing.

Its a small but sure impact - just as it is evident that self-upvoters are advantageously placed as compared to more prudent non-self-upvoters.

Does this quite tip things in the bots' favor? Maybe so or maybe not - it is difficult to quantify psychological factors - but it bears acknowledging.

Otherwise - quite well said @colinbrazendale and your words should also be kept in mind by those chosing to pay steem or SBD instantly to a bot so that they may use their voting power and SP stake upon the rewards pool to potentially reward them.

Thanks for this, upvoted and resteemed! I think minnowupvote is a good one now because looks like lots of people are getting involved. These bots seem to have a lifecycle to them.  I guess mine is 19 percent because I'm using minnowupvote so 44 minus 25. 😀 😃 😄

Nice post, personally, I don't buy votes, I believe one should earn the votes.

Just pay 1SBD per post then you do that on 5 posts a day... it equals around 15 dollar upvotes on the post combined... because it give you roughly 3 dollars per post, then when it pays out you should get 2steempower or 1steempower and 1sbd. Depending on your payout.


So that means its roughly around 5 dollars a day profit...
