From Dust To Dust

I heard a story of a rich man who use to look down of people because he saw himself to be so special and different from any other person in his community. 

When it comes to proving to people how powerful and influential he was in his community, He would quickly say to them"do you know who I am?'

It happened that one day he was involved in gory accident and died on the spot. One of his sons rushed to the hospital upon hearing the news by then he was already taken to the morgue. 

When to got to the morgue it was written on his father's toe tag as ''nobody" since they couldn't identify who he was. The man that knows himself so well couldn't even identify himself at the morgue.

Man is nothing but a mere dust, that's where we all came from and it is where we will return to when we die. God has no need of the flesh but the spirit. There is nothing about us that makes us so special from our fellow human beings, we are all dust.  

The Lord God formed man from the ground and breath life into his nostrils and man became a living soul. We not on our own and do not kive for ourselves, we owe allegiance to the one who sustains our life. 

After all the struggles of life and the pleasures of life, we will all return to only one place, that is dust, the original place God took us from:

You will eat food by the sweat of your brow until you’re buried in the ground, because you were taken from it. You’re made from dust and you’ll return to dust.”Genesis 3:19

All things are vanity becuase with all the struggles of life we will one day end up in the ground. So what the essence of the wealth, power, riches and fame ? It profits us nothing if we gain the whole world and lose our lives. 

If we are returning to the dust with none of the things we have acquired then why should we be driven by those things into commiting evil and then die without hope of salvation of our souls. 

Do not let your beauty, power, wealth and dignity deceive you to think that you are so special.  You are no different from those in the morgue ready to be cremated or be burried so humble yourself. Seek  God and his salvation through Christ while you still have the time.
