It's no secret that most of us are now using Google's products. Whether we say it or not, by using those products, we believe that Google is the king in the industry and a huge competition to Microsoft. Well, if I say that Google is better than Microsoft at the present time, then it won't be wrong. How it could be wrong when Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella admitted that: "there's always something to learn from people who market themselves well".

It doesn't make sense to me to yell about how Microsoft is behind Google since both of them are working hard to give tough competition to each other. But the projects of Google are more interesting and that's what makes Google so special. I mean, the project of making an automatic self-driving car is awesome, isn't it?

Despite the high price tag of Google Glass, it has many interesting features and I remember the days when Google's Glass technology was introduced to me via our local newspaper, and many people expressed their exciting feelings. We can expect the price to lower in several years but there's no change at the moment.

Even though their projects are still under development, it shows that Google is ambitious and aims to change the world. If I said that it changed the world already, I wouldn't be wrong. Why? Let's look at some of the ways Google changed the world for us.

# 1 - Android

Most of you are probably using an Android phone right now. That's an evidence of Google changing the world for you. Imagine what would you do without Android phones. Not all people can afford Apple iPhones. To be honest, I never found myself interested in buying iPhones. The only thing in which I found myself interested in "Hey, what version of Android does that mobile phone have? Is it upgradable or not?"

With iOS, you're stuck with one design of the Apple phone, but with Android, you have the flexibility to use different styles and size of smartphones. Google's Android is letting us enjoy some high-end software that wouldn't be possible to access without Android. I give all the credit to Google for inventing Android for us.

# 2 - Providing Exact Solution & Filtering Garbage From SERP

Gone are the days when you had to spend hours to get the answer to your question. Now you only need to write your question in Google Search and there we go, you will have an exact answer to what you're looking for. The answers could vary because each person suggests a different solution. If you need any specific information, you're one click away from getting it.

A few years ago, Google SERP pages were full of spam results and that's because it was easy to manipulate and rank higher on SERPs. SEO optimizers took advantage of that part and successfully ranked their spam sites on the 1st page of Google Search, then all the responsibilities were used to go to Google's staff who used to do a manual review to improve SERP results. But now, ranking your page on the first page of Google is the most difficult thing to do, and that's what increased the quality of Google's SERP.

If you would look around, you'll notice that most webmasters now use Google's ReCaptcha to fight spam. ReCaptcha is very efficient in limiting the spam hits and there are two ways to pass ReCaptcha and move forward, by ticking the images or by recognizing the sound and typing the text that you get in an audio file.

It's another thing that there are anti-captcha (captcha solving) sites but not all spammers use anti-captcha sites because it involves money, and when something requires money, spammers feel discouraged to move forward.

Those were only a few ways Google changed the world for us. It's just a matter of time that we will see Google's awesome projects such as self-driving cars and smart lenses becoming ready to use. Let's thank Google together!
