The bone marrow seems to be recognised in the hearts of those who are relatives. No matter the argument between siblings or families there is always the silent part of life among them which no intruder can temper with.

Down the lane, Ewenezi has three children which are Chika, who happened to be the eldest son, Amarachi who was the second born of the family and a girl of the house who is cherished by her father (father's favorite), and Emeka who happened to be the last born and a boy who has a heart of gold among the three children of Ewenezi. No one can beat it as Emeka was just like an eye and the one who has been of great help when it comes to the family issue. To him running away from responsibilities was a grave sin which he would not commit. This is why he was my mother's favorite.

Ewenezi has huge land which is used for yam and cassava farming. His handiwork and family tactics have reigned all over the land of Uka. Being a farmer means a lot when it comes to the issue of hard-working except when you are the lazy type. Ewenezi has been seen as the hardworking type who never wants to relent his effort just to make his family great financially. As a farmer his family was not lacking anything as they have their respective farmlands set aside by him except Amarachi who has been into trading. Her father has given her a huge sum of money for business which is giving her great reward.

Emeka is the only one who stood by his father which made him his mum's favorite. Sometimes greatness does not come from your words but from what people see you or take you to be. The people of Uka have seen him as a child full of great and true dreams. Emeka was truly surrounded by wisdom and had the heart of a lion. Anything his elder brother Chika cannot do, he tried hard to do.

Chika who was the elder brother and the eldest among the three children was a failure as he was always sitting at home doing nothing. He always used his father's wealth to rent farmers to work for him instead of doing it himself Mr renting from his proceeds. So, he is not seen as someone who is productive in the aspect of farming.

As an elder, Chika has the right over all his father's properties as well as the one his sibling, Emeka, has. It was time to get married as his parents had been sounding it to him to give them grandchildren. Chika has a girl who does not have respect for elders. Ada came out clean while she was hiding her true color from Chika. She has a target to ruin Chika's family just because of an u finished story she heard from her dad related to Chika's father. Her father has been poor but always runs to Chika's father for help which he does help him out. Ada's father told her that:

> anytime Ewenezi harvested cassava as well as yams, he always took almost half of it to me alongside with some money just because of my condition. When I was in pain and ran to the hospital, I needed a huge amount of money to treat my health. This made me run to Ewenezi who has now become my best friend to lend me some money. 

So something interrupted their conversation and now Ada has taken Ewenezi and his family as her enemies. She has a goal to destroy the family or set them apart just to take revenge. She concluded that Ewenezi was the one who made her father remain in his condition and so was out for revenge and wanted to pass through Chika. 

She has accepted to marry Chika and on a greener day and a Saturday, the marriage rights were concluded and were now husband and wife. 

After six years of marriage, Ada began to show her true color to the family. She told Chika to sell all the pieces of land owned by his younger brother since he has rights over all the lands. 

Without wasting time, Chika sold Emeka's land which caused a fight between them. They became enemies for four months until the unexpected happened to Chika. Chika climbed to the top of a Palm tree as usual. He was not the type who can be so strong to climb but just because of his wife's words, he went to the bush and behold, he fell from the palm tree. Ada was present but could not say a word instead left him to suffer and to die. To her, she has the documents to all the properties of Mr Ewenezi. 

Blood is thicker than water and blood cannot quarrel for so long, Emeka was on his way to the farm immediately it happened and there he saw his elder brother lying flat on the floor. He has nothing to do in order to put the dispute aside just to save his elder brother. He took him to.the hospital and was saved and treated. 

It was then Chika apologized to Emeka for the land he sold. He told him that it was the devil he got married to as a wife that caused it. 

> The person I called my wife was there when I was dying but ran away from me just for her to claim the properties. Now that you have saved me, I have to divorce her and come back to my family and reunite with you all. 

Emeka told him that he cannot run away from him despite what he has done to him. 

Ada goes home and relates what she has done to his father. 
> I want to punish the family for making you this way. 

His dad replied

> What did they do to me? His dad has been my friend and he has been the only one giving me food and money which I used to train you to this level you are right now. His wife was in the hospital and he has spent all he has on his wife the very day I was taken to the hospital. So, he also tried to raise me with some money which I used to treat myself. He has been a good friend. 

Ada was regretting her evil deeds. 

> I need to meet up with the family and apologize to them all. I have offended them. 

When she got to the house, she was surprised to see Chika alive. She knelt down apologizing to him and also to his family. She explained her reasons for being so wicked. They saw reasons with her and indeed forgave her foolish act.
