[src](https://blog.seedly.sg/crypto-scams-singapore/) Pump and dump is a procedure in which a coin/token is pumped first and then dumped by the influencers who hold large quantity of the concerned crypto. New users can easily fall for such scam tokens as it looks attracting when pump starts happening. For example yesterday a token called SNM which is listed on Binance. It pumped from $0.3 to $13 in few hours which was very surprising for the new users entering in crypto. Everyone was talking on twitter to ride snm train.  I am sure many would have bought following the pump. After reaching to $13 the token dumped very hard within minutes and fell below $1. It was an obvious pump and dump scenario that was created to scam newbie investors. Imagine when the dump happened what would have happened to those who bought at top in fomo. They are in big loss indeed. I feel sorry for them. Buying something at the peak is not a wise decision when the coin is 5000% up in minutes. This is not healthy for any coin/token. This is obviously a scam tactic. Stay away from such fake pumps.
