We are in first month of 2024 and it looks like its airdrop season as a lot of crypto projects are doing airdrop. If you are following me and reading my posts regularly then you know that i have covered a few projects recently who airdropped their tokens for the early supporters and users made thousands of dollars in free airdrops . Some of the airdrops that happened include, dymension (DYM) , MantaNetwork (MANTA) , sleepless AI and Xai games. 

It doesn't stop here we have another project who announced airdrop today for the early supporters. This is Zetachain. It has announced airdrop for the testnet participants.  Before going into further details about airdrop lets first get an idea about Zetachain.

ZetaChain is a blockchain based technology company from California which was Established in 2021. Its a [blockchain](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/blockchain) for crosschain apps. The company boasts a platoon with expansive experience in the blockchain and cryptocurrency realms. Their overarching charge is to secure and simplify the process of transferring both the value and informations across the various layers of blockchain technologies. 

Likewise, ZetaChain envisions its platform as a supporter of amulti-chain crypto ecosystem, where druggies and inventors can seamlessly engage and cooperate with different features, including payments, decentralized finance [Defi](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-decentralized-finance-defi) ,  gaming, and art, regardless of the underpinning blockchain.

ZetaChain blockchain operates on a decentralized, evidence- of- stake model and is constructed using the Cosmos software development tackle( SDK) and Tendermint agreement. As of january 2024, it remains in the progressive phase, a stage devoted to refining the platform before its full deployment. 

Also, ZetaChain incorporates an Omnichin runner point, serving as a tool for inventors to pass data through chains using simple function calls. Zetachain has announced Zeta airdrop allocation for the testnet participants. There are close to 800k wallets who are eligible to claim the airdrop on mainnet launch.  

The eligibility criteria included minimum 50k points holding. Users who have less than 50k points have been removed from recieving the airdrop. Eligible Users have an allocation of Zeta token ranging from 50 to 2000 and even more than it.

Though im not eligible for the airdrop as my points are less than 50k. But i am happy for the ones who are eligible. Its actually good to see people earning from airdrops. Hopefully this airdrop gonna put smile to many faces on the launch day. There are many opportunities in crypto you just need to learn more and more to get maximum benefit.
