"But let your yes be [a simple] yes, and your no be [a simple] no, so that you may not sin and fall under condemnation."
James 5:12

Know your boundaries and your limits with people. When we try to please all the people all the time, we lose ourselves. It's good to be flexible and able to adjust, to make others happy. But it shouldn't be at the expense of missing our own destiny because we're living a frustrated life. 

The reason for wanting to please people might be the desire to be accepted, at any price. Saying "yes" when you really wanna say "no" will steal your life from you.

Refusing to be controlled by people is healthy for all involved. 

Pleasing God should be above everything else. He will provide His wise guidance, as you learn to say "no". He will provide His strength to make you confident that you are following His lead.
