You don’t by any means have to, but you *may*. Certainly for your posts. Comments are a bit different. It’s widely considered to be poor form to upvote your own comments if they’re of the *Nice post!* variety. As a general rule, I’d say it’s fine to upvote your own posts, but show some restraint with your own comments.
