# **Socal Media Challenge: Skargore Vs Conqueror Jacek** #

Hello Splinterfam! I'm back again for the weekly Social Media Challenge. For this week's challenge I decided to share an awesome battle. If you are new here, I only play on Silver League Modern Format so more likely the strategy I would be mostly sharing is for Silver only.

For this battle I used Skargore a Riftwatchers Edition summoner because my daily focus today is Fire splinter. That is not solely the reason, I also love running the fire splinter especially on high mana cap battle because of a certain line up I always use when using Fire Splinters. I always use Skargore because I don't need to rent it, I have my very own on max silver level (level 4) so I don't need to rent any more summoner on fire. Also, I am not a fan of Yodin because it is easily countered if opponent predicts that you would use it. Not to mention that Yodin is very expensive to rent for me because I am very very cheap (lol).

My Strategy for this battle/line up is to put Coeurl Lurker in front to tank and to supply it with speed ups by using Countess Sinash and Supply Runner and decrease opponent's damage as much as I can by using Ash Mirage (to decrease Ranged attack) and Tinderlock (to decrease Magic attack), using Skargore who gives enrage to all my monster raising their speed when attacked.

# **Battle** #

The rules were Target practice (All Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability) and Lost magic (Monsters with Magic attack may not be used in battles) with 58 mana cap and Fire, Water, Earth and Death splinters available to use.

The key to Lost magic rules is to use speed to your advantage because there is no magic damage on the battle and magic never misses except on a certain ability. Use speedy monsters because all damage you would receive is all physical and can be dodged.

The Line up I used was:

**Skargore**: To give enrage ability to all monster which increases their speed when attacked
**Coeurl Lurker**: To tank damage with the hope to dodge everything the opponent throws(lol)
**Lava Launcher**: Serves as second tank with its high armor and close range ability also for its high damage.
**Ash Mirage**: Decreases opponents Ranged attack by 1.
**Countess Sinash**: Increase speed of all my monsters by 1.
**Supply Runner**: Increase speed of all my monsters by 1.
**Tinderlock**: To serve as a backline tank with its high hp and serves as a last resort if things go south with Coeurl Lurker with its Last Stand ability.

As you can see, the opponent also used speed as his/her strategy same as mine and same monsters used (LOL) but the difference is that he used Conqueror Jacek which is very odd because Scattershot ability is so hard to use. It just distribute your damage along the battle field randomly since its high mana cap, almost all monster is beefy. Yes he did answer the Taunt of my Coeurl Lurker but it wasn't enough to bring down my backline monsters. If he was lucky sure he could beat me but luck just wasn't there for this battle (lol). I think the placement of my monsters are better than his placement because he placed his Tinderlock third and would not utilize its last stand ability. This strategy is very effective if the ruleset is Lost magic because you can decrease opponent's damage because surely he would mostly use ranged monster. You can also use this strategy anytime because Tinderlock can decrease magic damage also well except on Reverse Speed and Up Close & Personal. Speed is a game changer in splinterlands because that one miss can change the outcome of the battle so for me, Speed is King.
