The expected goals did not come late in yesterday's matches leaving me with a loss of around 1.4 units going 0 on 9 so far this week. Still 5 days and 11 matches left to make it a 7th winning week in a row even though I wouldn't mind avoiding a big correction to the downside. I will continue to be rather cautious and a bit more selective going forward. 2 Interesting matches today...

<h2>Racing Genk vs KV Mechelen</h2></b>

They went all defensive after they took the lead with a penalty and Charleroi was the better team in the 2nd half. In the match against Oostende before, there were 3 goals in the 1st half without a single chance. Mechelen deserved to score in the match against Oostende which they lost 2-0. They went forward in the 2nd half but mostly created corners. The match before against AA Gent was rather disappointing as neither team was willing to play forward and take risks. Van Damme is still out for Mechelen who show a very negative result without them. This leaves me with 2 teams I'm not willing to back at the moment and a -0.25 line on the home team which seems fair. I don't expect a wide-open start of the match and am tempted to take a pre-game trading position on the 1st half Under 1 @ 2.33 but then again who knows. I will mostly be looking at 'form-of-the-day' and will also consider betting Mechelen on the corners if Genk scores first. <b>No Pre-Game Bets</b>

<h2>Standard vs Club Brugge</h2></b>

Last weekend they lost deserved against Anderlecht while Club Brugge keeps cruising through the league despite having major corona issues with key players along with their coach being out. Their defense is pretty much unaffected by missings and Vanaken should be back tonight even though it remains to be seen what the effect of covid will have on him still. Dost got injured so they are missing their main striker while Lang will likely start on the bench. Club Brugge has shown to be capable even with a B-Squad at the moment and they were head-and-shoulders above Standard in their previous meeting a while back. The odds were set at -0.25 @ 1.98 early in the week due to the uncertainty of missing players. <i>Club Brugge -0.25 @ 1.980</i> is what I ended up taking an initial tiny bet on (due to limits). I was close to taking -0.25 @ 1.90 as a bigger official bet later in the week but the slight hesitation had it drop to 1.80 after which I kind of missed the boat to see the line now at -0.5 @ 1.877 which no longer interests me. Club Brugge to make a comeback when they would fall behind at those odds would make me still take it on as a bet most likely.  Same goes with Club Brugge 1H -0.25 if they show real dominance. Club Brugge Team total Over 1.5 also is still on my radar. I also don't exclude Standard actually playing a good match. Will be interesting to see how this one plays out in the end.
