As [announced by the LEO team](https://leofinance.io/hive-167922/@leofinance/leo-flat-curation-curve-is-officially-in-effect-or-other-important-updates), this week we began to realize that our curatorial reward has changed significantly mainly for those curators who vote manually. The main objective is simple and straightforward, balancing the curation reward gains between AV and manual healers.

According to Khal, this proposal had been discussed for a long time and I think there was no better time to implement it than now. Knowing that my 100% vote in a post will automatically yield me 50% of it without suffering any kind of loss for my reward is something very interesting and motivating.

Since the beginning of this incredible proposal, I have already understood that at no time did LeoFinance intend to exclude the many investors that exist in the community who use AV to be able to accumulate more LEO even if they are not directly active. So whoever chooses this mechanism will not suffer any penalty but will eventually realize that their rewards should decrease.

Before the linear change we can say that in the past it was a real gold rush. Whoever arrived first in the vote could gain a good advantage in the following votes and thus be able to earn more rewards. Today things are quite different and interestingly for many authors who received votes in seconds, now they have to get used to receiving votes in minutes, hours or maybe even days later.

For the manual healer, there is no more reason to be in a hurry. Time is now your companion and I can even say that this way it becomes even more fun to distribute your votes to authors who really deserve it and who bring more quality content to the community.

Another very cool thing that I noticed in the community is that many curators who used AV are now part of the manual curators team. This increase shows the confidence and motivation for more people to do the same. The "competition" for LEO authors to present quality content on the platform to receive very generous votes will be much more common from now on.

The change also brings positive points to the LEO ecosystem, more people will buy more LEO to boost their account and it is good to take advantage of this moment when the market is down for now. Today LEO is priced at $ 0.153 so it is worth increasing to accumulate more isn't it?

I hope that more people feel motivated to participate in the curatorship so that everyone will benefit and the community gains more in interaction and deceit. My rewards have already increased a lot and I'm sure you noticed that in your account too. Perhaps in the not-too-distant future, Hive and other second-tier communities might do the same thing as LeoFinance. Well, that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Como [anunciado pela equipe LEO](https://leofinance.io/hive-167922/@leofinance/leo-flat-curation-curve-is-officially-in-effect-or-other-important-updates), essa semana começamos a perceber que nossa recompensa de curadoria teve mudanças significativas principalmente para aqueles curadores que votam manualmente. O objetivo principal é simples e direto, equilibrar os ganhos de recompensa de curadoria entre AV e curadores manuais. 

De acordo com Khal, essa proposta estava sendo discutida há um bom tempo e acho que não existia um melhor momento para implementar do que agora. Saber que meu voto a 100% em um post me renderá automaticamente 50% dele sem sofrer nenhum tipo de perda para minha recompensa é algo muito interessante e motivador. 

Desde o começo dessa incrível proposta eu já haiva entendido que em nenhum momento LeoFinance pretendia excluir os muitos investidores que existem na comunidade que utilizam o AV para poderem acumular mais LEO mesmo que não sejam diretamente ativos. Por isso quem optar por esse mecanismo não irá sofrer nenhuma penalidade mas eventualmente perceberá que suas recompensas deverão diminuir. 

Antes da mudança linear podemos dizer que antigamente era uma verdadeira corrida ao ouro. Quem chegasse primeiro no voto poderia ganhar boa vantagem nos votos seguintes e assim poder ganhar mais recompensas. Hoje as coisas são bem diferentes e curiosamente para muitos autores que recebiam votos em segundos, agora tem que se acostumar em receber votos em minutos, horas ou talvez até dias depois. 

Para o curador manual não tem mais motivos para ter pressa. O tempo agora é sua companheira e posso até dizer que dessa forma se torna até mais divertivo distribuir seus votos para autores que realmente mereçam e que tragam mais conteúdos de qualidade para a comunidade.

Outra coisa bem legal que percebi na comunidade é que muitos curadores que utilizavam o AV agora fazem parte do time de curadores manuais. Esse aumento mostra a confiança e motivação para mais pessoas fazerem o mesmo. A "competição" para os autores LEO apresentarem conteúdos de qualidade na plataforma  para receberem votos bastante generosos será algo muito mais comum a partir de agora.

A mudança também traz pontos positivos para o ecossistema LEO, mais pessoas irão comprar mais LEO para turbinarem sua conta e é bom aproveitar esse momento em que o mercado está por enquanto em baixa. Hoje o LEO está cotado a $0.153 então vale a pena aumentar acumular mais não é mesmo?

Espero que mais pessoas sintam motivadas a participarem na curadoria pois assim todos se beneficiarão e a comunidade ganha mais na interação e enganjamento. Minhas recompensas já aumentaram bastante e tenho certeza que você já percebeu isso em sua conta também. Quem sabe no futuro não tão distante Hive e outras comunidades de segunda camada possam fazer o mesmo que LeoFinance. Bem, isso não seria uma má ideia.

There are a bunch of posts which I simply skip. Not even 1% is worth to give them. But there are also some which I kick at my very full power, and that brings to the post additional ~120 LEO's in a second. Probably enough reasons to stop posting BS?
 Quality community needs quality content. Not thousands of BS every hour.

Agreed. It would be nice if we can create a stream of contents that talk about issues related to other crypto assets and non-crypto assets as well. As of now, the section and most of the other posts are all either Leofinance related or crypto related. It is obvious that most users are here on the site because they are on cryptospace and want to write about that. But, a lil push to create content on other financial issues will make curation fun and demonstrate variation for potential outsiders joining in.

It's great to see that AV members became manual curators... As you said, there is no hurry for upvoting someone, so we can read posts and upvote if they are good... This should help bringing more quality content to the platform as those will be on the Trending page... hopefully, with the most upvotes... motivating content creators to be better...
