# I use the "craigrant" tag on all my posts, and I encourage my friends to do the same. Using the tag like a channel on steemit we visit the most.

Good idea but some people downvote if you use the incorrect tag so not recommended if it has nothing to do with your post. But it could work.

I was, apparently, the creator of an original tag called 'embedding' which showed up in Explore for a couple of days and then disappeared. I think it requires the tag to be continually used for it to be maintained in the list. I recieved a comment from someone higher up the food chain congratulating me on the idea and suggesting I continue to develop the tag. I would have imagined that tags show up due to 'amount of use' algorisms but I wondered, after this interaction, as to whether the tags were manually maintained.
