BREADROLL??
Hey everyone, well what I can tell you is this, nature most certainly has a sense of humour and I am sure it gives folks who pay attention as I do opportunities, here another great example of that. How cool is this breadroll or so it seems? At first glance that is just what I thought it was albeit 'chillin' in the mud!

![IMG-20200109-WA0024.jpg](https://ipfs.busy.org/ipfs/QmR9XzX6Y4arjxxr5w4oW5KVChs4spfsVSrXCK4mJEGsVh)

I was taking a walk down the bottom of the property to go and water my garden and to my dismay was rather pleasantly surprised to stumble across what I initially thought was literally a bread roll someone left here by mistake. On closer inspection however it wasn't, but this incredible looking mushroom.

Again of late we have been having much rain, and as folks know mushrooms love high humidity conditions which is why I assume these popped up from nowhere.

The top two pics I took on the day I found them, the second two pics I took on day two, vast difference right? I assume they only last a few days!

As per wikipedia.org: Agaricus bisporus is an edible basidiomycete mushroom native to grasslands in Europe and North America. It has two color states while immature—white and brown—both of which have various names. This mushroom is commonly sold under the name portobello mushroom (also portabella or portobella) but the etymology is disputed.[2][3]

When immature and white, this mushroom may be known as common mushroom, white mushroom, button mushroom, cultivated mushroom, table mushroom, and champignon mushroom. When immature and brown, it may be known variously as Swiss brown mushroom, Roman brown mushroom, Italian brown mushroom, cremini/crimini mushroom, or chestnut mushroom.

Sadly my research resulted in only the edible mushroom as above this I can literally not find anywhere, rare it is as far as I can tell, given the fact seen this once only and never before. Anyone that can elucidate on this 'magical mushroom' or shed a little more light on matters would be greatly appreciated!

Which begs the question can you eat them or not? I would ERR on the side of caution however as some of these can be very deadly and no known cure once ingested.

Nature really is incredible and so full of surprises, a new day in nature really does present many opportunities and hidden gems.

I trust you have an amazing weekend.
