Ever wanted to boost your performance? Probably, Yes. Almost all of us like to improve ourselves to climb the ladder of big success. Even those people look for ways to boost their performance who are already successful because they realized that the taste of success is awesome and there is no limit of success. They strive for more and more.

But the problem is, some of the people do not really work for improving themselves. Some of them are lazy enough and some are ignorant. They just wish for things to happen instead of making them happen. But I believe that you're not one of those. I am sure enough that you will try to do these practicals consistently because guess what? they are good enough and would make positive impact on your personality.

You may be surprised if I tell you that your voice pitch, your style of marketing yourself and your acceptance of failure has a lot to do with your personality. You can either boost your performance through these 3 things OR you can waste your time in saying "huh what the crap is all about". But worry not, you were supposed to be surprised so I am not really surprised about your behavior. I'll keep my points based on facts, and will indicate the source in case if you need more info. 

# **1- Lower Your Voice Tone And Pitch:**

There are some people who like to talk in high pitch and high tones whenever they talk. Lets not get too far, just few days ago, I was very tempted when I was crossing the road with some friends, and one of them started to talk abnormally in high pitch and high tone and I was like "What the heck man, can't you lower your tone?" but he kept bashing my head with his voice.

Honestly speaking, Some people do not feel comfortable enough when someone start to talk in high voice pitch, but that's not only me. Research of experts tell the same thing to us. Generally, when you're talking in low voice pitch, it keeps you cool and when your mind is cool, you talk about more useful points as compared to high-pitch and your mind could think creatively while you talk with others at the same time.

Researchers have made it clear that low voice-pitch put positive effect on both, speaker and listener. You will see yourself that how listener listens to your talk with more interest than before and he looks at your face and eyes to understand your wise points.

Experiment of researchers clearly shows that those who lowered their voice-pitch and tone found some great things within themselves and even received positive feedback from others than those who talked in high tone and high pitch.

- Do not lower your pitch as such that people start to come near your lips to listen what you're saying, man. That's crazy. If you already have low pitch style of talking, then no need to change. But if not, then download audacity, record your voice in all natural pitches and listen to yourself. Any pitch which sounds good and understandable, you can pick.

# **2- Revise The Way You Market Yourself:**

So, you went for interview for a job and mentioned there how you studied from a great university and then how you had a greatest job with high paying salary when it was your first job and how you are a good father? Honestly, that sucks. That's not how you market yourself like I'm this and I'm that etc and I am the best for your job. Your boss might be thinking, who is this crazy man? praising himself that way, and end up thinking "do he even deserve to get a place in our company since he have such self-presenting attitude"

When you want to market yourself, do it in a calm way. Take huge care of the possible thoughts of listener specially when the listener is a senior. Majority of people do not like such people who praises themselves. It just shows that you only care about yourself that how good you are that you deserve everything. Of-course you're a genius and achieved many success in past, I am not calling you dumber. I am just making a point that always choose your words and sentences wisely, and stop praising yourself in excessive way. If you're praising yourself in front of your interviewer then your chances of getting that job might get reduced. I am not the one saying this, refer to the research below.

Researchers did some analysis in which it is pretty clear to them that those who are self-presenters and try hard to present themselves in best way, they get their chance and importance reduced as compared to those who just normally present themselves without praising himself in excessive way.

- Come on, you're not Barack Obama. Do not praise yourself hugely and try NOT to be an attention-seeker. If you're that good, you will get attention of people automatically.

# **3- Be A Man Enough To Accept Your Mistake And Failure:**

So, you just ate banana, threw the cort of banana in public place, and when someone fell on the floor due to the cort of your banana then you say "Hey are you deaf? can't you watch and then walk? stupid idiot"

OR maybe you sold expensive things at cheap rate and when the owner of the shop came back to the shop, asked for all the records, wondered on lack of revenue and asked you what have you done and why you sold things at cheap rate, then you reply "oh sir I was doing my job fairly enough, why you're always angry?"  If yes, then it means you're not a man enough to accept your mistakes and failure.

If you don't realize that it was your mistake or failure, then be assured that you'll never be able to improve yourself because it was simply "not" a mistake from your perspective. If you always consider yourself as some kind of innocent and perfect person, then what will make you think to improve yourself? You'll always stuck to your failures.

Researchers did an experiment on this logic and found that participants who were accepting their mistakes started to do better gradually and did their best to avoid repeating same mistake again, and felt more motivation to solve their weakness than those who were stubborn and weren't ready to realize their mistakes.

- We are human and mistakes are possible. Accept your mistakes and do your best to amend them and never repeat them again. Remember that we all do mistakes but those mistakes can become errors if we don't find a way to amend them. That's what makes you successful in the long run.
