When I arrived at HIVE, I remember being impressed by some people. They were really very active, and I noticed they were highly engaged on the platform. Whenever I was online (and it wasn’t for long), they were too. Thanks to the transparency tools, I could see they were online for a long time.

At the same time, I noticed they had many assets, meaning they had large amounts deposited in the ecosystem. I was truly impressed by that, but my mindset didn’t allow me to understand how these people were built. They didn’t just appear successful overnight. It was a **construction** that took time and a new word for me: **consistency**.

Since I'm curious, I try to learn from people. And that’s how, as soon as my curiosity about **what people were doing with their online time** was activated, I began learning about finance, cryptocurrencies, short- and long-term investments. A bunch of things that felt so distant to my 2021 self (when I arrived at HIVE).

Over time, I started learning the basic concepts and, like every beginner, I thought I could operate in the market. I took some hits. Luckily, or by chance, I ended up losing only tiny amounts of money I didn’t need. Soon I began reading article after article about everything related to finance. And for that, the **LeoFinance** community was a perfect fit, which I embraced with all its complexity and became a regular user of the interface now known as **InLEO**.

I learned a lot from the collaboration in articles by major names in the *LeoFinance* community, and kept learning on my own when I also sought knowledge from videos on that famous Web2 platform. In any case, at some point, I felt capable of even writing articles about **household budgeting**. I published a few on the subject and advanced even further.

In a short time, I was testing asset market behavior, operating in the short and medium term. I also shifted investments outside the blockchain, moving my savings to more advantageous sources. That was amazing—a real step forward. I became aware and capable of reading and interpreting financial information, choosing between bonds, stocks, certificates, receipts, and I have a decent understanding of the economy in my country, where interest rates are extremely high (which means I earn more from my off-chain investments).

Today I work with **three different fronts**:
- on the blockchain  
- with the brokerage  
- with traditional banks  

This makes me very satisfied because I can clearly see how I got here, the path I’ve walked, and the possibilities for the future. All of this happened later in my life, which is why I can confidently say it’s never too late to learn—and that the sooner you understand finance, the more prosperous your outcome can be!

With that in mind, I try to guide my friends and family with caution and respect so they can open their minds to renew their knowledge, clarify their fears, and decide what they want for themselves and what their future outlook is.

One thing is certain: keeping money in a savings account is not a good deal!

Quando eu cheguei na HIVE lembro de ter ficado impressionado com algumas pessoas. Elas tinham realmente muita disposição, e eu percebia que estavam muito ativas na plataforma. Sempre que eu estava online (e era pouco tempo), elas também estavam. Graças às ferramentas de transparência, eu percebia que elas estavam online por muito tempo. 

Ao mesmo tempo percebi que tinham muitos ativos, ou seja, eram pessoas que tinham grandes valores depositados no ecossistema. Eu realmente me impressionava com isso, mas minha mentalidade não me permitia entender como se deu a construção dessas pessoas. Elas não apareceram grandes do dia para a noite. Foi uma **construção** que levou tempo e uma nova palavra para mim: **consistência**.

Como sou curioso, eu tento aprender com as pessoas. E foi assim, tão logo minha curiosidade sobre **o que as pessoas faziam no seu tempo online** foi ativada, eu comecei aprender sobre finanças, sobre criptomoedas, investimentos de curto e longo prazo. Uma série de coisas que pareciam tão distantes para o meu **eu** de 2021 (quando cheguei na HIVE).

Eu fui aprendendo ao longo do tempo os primeiros conceitos e, como todo iniciante, pensei que poderia operar no mercado. Levei minhas invertidas. Por sorte, ou pelo acaso, acabei perdendo quantias ínfimas de dinheiro que eu não precisava. E logo eu iria começar a ler artigos e mais artigos sobre tudo relacionado à finanças. E para isso, caiu como uma luva a comunidade **leofinance**, que eu abracei com toda sua complexidade, e passei a ser usuário permanente da interface hoje chamada **InLEO**. 

Aprendi muito com a colaboração dos artigos de grandes nomes da comunidade *LeoFinance*, e segui aprendendo sozinho quando busquei também conhecimento em vídeos daquela plataforma web2 famosa. De qualquer forma, em algum momento me senti capaz até mesmo de escrever artigos sobre **orçamento doméstico**. Fiz algumas publicações a respeito, e avancei ainda mais.

Em pouco tempo eu estava testando o comportamento do mercado de ativos, operando no curto prazo e no médio prazo. Troquei investimentos também fora da blockchain, mudando minhas economias para outras fontes mais vantajosas. Isso foi sensacional, um verdadeiro passo para evolução. Tenho consciência e capacidade de ler e interpretar informações financeiras, decidindo por opções dentre títulos, ações, certificados, recibos, e entendo razoavelmente bem a economia do meu país, onde o juro é altíssimo (o que me faz receber mais pelo meu investimento fora da blockchain).


Então hoje eu trabalho com **três diferentes frentes**:
- na blockchain
- na corretora
- nos bancos tradicionais

Isso me deixa bastante satisfeito pois eu percebo claramente como eu cheguei até aqui, o caminho que foi percorrido, e as possibilidades para o futuro. Tudo isso aconteceu tardiamente na minha vida, e é por isso que eu posso dizer com propriedade que nunca é tarde para aprender, e que certamente o quanto antes você entender de finanças, mais próspero poderá ser seu resultado!

Tendo isso em mente eu procuro orientar com bastante cautela e respeito os meus amigos e familiares para que abram as mentes no sentido de renovar seus conhecimentos, esclarecer seus medos e decidir o que pretendem para si mesmos e quais suas perspectivas de futuro. 

Uma coisa é certa: dinheiro na poupança, não é um bom negócio!
