Hello InformationWar platform! It's another time to share developments from Ukraine and this time it's a well deserved news for the Ukrainian President.

It's been nine (9) months since the Russian military invaded Ukraine and as at the time of the invasion, many people as well as nations believed that the Russians had the military might to crush the Ukrainian military in weeks, but see how time flies and the outcome of the war in Ukraine.

Who on earth believed that the Ukrainian military will recapture some regions and are still recapturing regions that were formerly held by the Russians. This could only be described as an act of bravery from both the Ukrainian government and the military. 

Today, I join millions of people all over the world to congratulate the Ukrainian President Zelenskiy for winning this year's Time magazine 'Person of the year' award.

According to the Time magazine management, Zelenskiy won the 2022’s “Person of the Year” award for his courage in the face of Russia’s invasion and for inspiring Ukrainians to remain steadfast and resist Russia’s full-scale invasion, which it launched in late February.

Calling Zelenskyy’s decision to remain in Ukraine’s capital of Kyiv and rally his country “fateful,” Time’s Editor-in-Chief Edward Felsenthal said on Wednesday that this year’s decision was “the most clear-cut in memory”.

This decision by the Time magazine management is crystal clear and is a sign of unbiased decision. The only people who wouldn't want Zelenskiy to win the ward are antidemocratic and lovers of wickedness.

Despite all the Ukrainians have suffered within this months, they're still steadfast in fighting the war and are ready to push the Russian military back to their pre-war boundaries.

On February 26, the Ukrainian embassy in the United Kingdom announced on Twitter that Zelenskyy had turned down an offer by the US to evacuate Kyiv.

“The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride,” they quoted him as saying, before adding, “Ukrainians are proud of their president.”

This words by Zelenskiy are more powerful than the weapons of war and reveals the kind of heart and love he has for his country and people.

I'll conclude by saying that, the Ukrainian President Zelenskiy deserves the award and more for his act of bravery during this war period. This doesn't mean that there weren't times he got discouraged by in all he's a good man and worthy for another term in office as Ukrainian President.

Congratulations to President Zelenskiy. Hurray!
