I continue my pyrography series with a more complex design. I took baby steps with this form of art as it was pretty new for me. But as I keep on working, I have found that I can combine pointillism and pyrography and take this to another level: ART on wood.

I am slowly building a little page for this and I try to post regularly, although I do find social media exhausting for my own taste, therefore I limit my time spent on it.

What I do notice is that being a creator, an artist, a photographer, a videographer and writer takes a lot of my time. I sometimes wonder how I can manage to do them all and I realize that I have a lot of power, discipline and determination. I want to succeed so badly for what it makes me become as a person. I am proud of myself for being so dedicated to work and managing with all of this as finding quality help in people is quite rare nowadays.

The story of this piece is quite simple: I have a friend and I am grateful that she is my friend.Haha. She lives in Ireland and she is the type of person with whom you can have meaningful conversations, she knows how to maintain a quality friendship and she always helped me with thoughtful advice when I needed. She is rare as she is ***happily married*** and can give great advices when it comes to love. I believe in the power of influence and I feel more comfortable to be myself around people that I respect and who are caring, respectful, know & set boundaries and are just good people with a beautiful character. I find this kind of individuals to be like diamonds: rare and therefore precious and definetely a keeper. A happy person can teach you so much more than 10 unhappy people who are pretending to be ok, faking it with a smile everyday. From my own experience I have noticed that the latter can drag you down. So I prefer to choose my friends extra carefully and I value them a lot. I find it easier now to let go of bad influences as life is too short to keep the wrong people around. I want only happy, positive and self aware people by my side.

I have spent 3 hours doing this and I wanted to include a bit of her personality and also make it enjoyable visually. She loves puzzles. She can solve 1000 pieces up to 5000 pieces puzzles. She has the patience, the stamina. She is also quite a dreamer and I love how open minded she is. She deserves all the luck in the world because she is such a beautiful person. I have also drawn the lucky irish sign not only because she lives in Ireland, but also because she gave me a keychain years ago with this symbol. It has been with me ever since and I always love it when I can carry a memory from my dear friends with me.

We don't see each other very often as she is abroad, but the quality of the friendship is what counts. I had friends with whom I could never open up and felt they were not a good influence although we visited often. I have grown a lot as a person and I realize that in my path towards personal growth some people will not remain in my life. It is almost necessary to lose some of them along the way. And it is ok, as better opportunities will come and people who resonate with me will appear in my life. We attract what we are and the better we grow, the better will come our way. Quality is better than quantity in regards to friendships and relationships in general. 

So as you can see I started with a sketch and build it from there. Adding dots was my guilty little pleasure😂😂. The shading is starting to get more fun for me as I get more skilled with my pyrography pen.

I am so so sure she will love this. I also prepared a trinket for her, something I have made last year from handmade paper which got decorated for Woman's day. I promised I will keep her one, with a red sea star. And sure I did.

 Making handmade gifts for someone you care about is precious. It is something else. I have always appreciated the quality time people could offer me and the effort and attention put into any gesture. And nothing speaks more than ***I care about you*** than dedicated time for creating something unique.

I hope this inspires you to choose good friends and to never forget to show the people you love that you care about them. ***Every day is a great day to show love***. In a rushed society we should never rush when it comes to showing our feelings. Too often we are wrong to give our attention to people who don't appreciate it while those who do are eagerly waiting for our affection. Separating the two and nurturing people who value you at your truest potential is the most rewarding thing a friend could ask for. Never give your time and love to those who do not value you. Seek relationships where you are genuinely cared for, it will lift you up immensely and you will grow next to such people.
