¿Les ha pasado que quieren ir de paseo a un lugar pero siempre lo posponen? Ese plan que dices que harás el próximo fin de semana pero luego te excusas porque tienes mucho trabajo pendiente, o cualquier otra cosa que tu cerebro se invente hacer para no salir. Bueno, eso me ocurría con el plan de ir a *La Laguna* hasta hoy, cuando en la mañana conversando con mi mejor amigo decidimos espontáneamente salir de una buena vez y no postergarlo más. No saben lo feliz que me hizo tomar esa decisión.

>Has it ever happened to you that you want to go for a walk somewhere but you always postpone it? That plan that you say you will do next weekend but then you excuse yourself because you have a lot of work to do, or whatever else your brain comes up with to avoid going out. Well, that was happening to me with the plan to go to La Laguna until today, when in the morning talking with my best friend we spontaneously decided to go out for good and not postpone it anymore. I can't tell you how happy I was to make that decision.

## El camino

La laguna es un lugar que queda relativamente cerca del lugar donde vivo actualmente, para llegar allí debemos transitar un camino de al rededor 3km entre ida y vuelta. El viaje de ida es más sencillo porque es en bajada, pero el de regreso tiene varias subidas bastante empinadas. Durante el camino ví muchas flores hermosas, entre elllas cayenas y trinitarias de todos los colores, no pude evitar fotografiarlas.

>The lagoon is a place that is relatively close to where I currently live, to get there we must travel a road of about 3km round trip. The outward trip is easier because it is downhill, but the return trip has several steep climbs. Along the way I saw many beautiful flowers, among them cayenas and trinitarias of all colors, I could not avoid photographing them.

## La Laguna

El camino de ida estuvo entretenido y al llegar me sorprendí de lo lindo que se veía el paisaje, la laguna tranquila, rodeada de árboles y con un par de patitos en la orilla, la grama súper verde y la tarde soleada. Me emocioné y empecé a tomar fotos.

Una vez dejamos nuestras cosas en los bancos nos montamos en el bote, desde allí podía tomar el sol, meter mis piernas al agua, escuchar el canto de los pájaros y observar como el sol dibuja destellos en el agua, un lugar precioso, perfecto para reflexionar.

>## The Lagoon
>
>The way there was entertaining and when I arrived I was surprised at how beautiful the landscape looked, the lagoon was calm, surrounded by trees and with a couple of ducklings on the shore, the grass was super green and the afternoon was sunny. I got excited and started taking pictures.
>
>Once we left our things on the benches we got on the boat, from there I could sunbathe, put my legs in the water, listen to the birds singing and watch how the sun draws sparkles on the water, a beautiful place, perfect for reflection.

## Pensamientos sueltos

Estando en la laguna llegó a mi mente el pensamiento "Una vez que algo no está, es cuando más lo deseas", o dicho en otras palabras "nadie sabe lo que tiene hasta que lo pierde". ¿Cómo llegué allí? Bueno, el estar en la laguna me hizo recordar como el año pasado añoraba tener contacto con la naturaleza, pero no podía.

El año pasado, a raíz del covid, me mudé a otra región de mi país, allí estaba viviendo en un área residencial que a lo mucho tenía una plaza cercana con unos pocos árboles y algo de grama. En ese entonces añoraba mucho el lugar en donde vivo actualmente, por su clima fresco y frío, porque estoy rodeada de árboles, porque a pesar de que es un lugar retirado es un sitio muy lindo donde vivir y cuando me mudé lo eché mucho de menos, pero ahora que estoy de regreso en este lugar tan lleno de naturaleza, la verdad es que no le estoy dando la debida atención. 

Este paseo me hizo darme cuenta que he permito que las pantallas y el trabajo me absorban al punto de que el contacto con la naturaleza, que tanto añoraba antes, lo he estado descuidando últimamente. Es muy sencillo quedarse absorto en el trabajo, las pantallas y el contenido de internet, pero definitivamente es un error de mi parte no sacar el debido tiempo para hacer más paseos como este, sencillamente estos paseos de *"break"* no puedo postergarlos más, pues al final son necesarios y saludables para la mente y el cuerpo.


>## Loose Thoughts
>
>While at the lagoon the thought came to my mind "Once something is gone, that's when you want it the most", or in other words "no one knows what they have until they lose it". How did I get there? Well, being at the lagoon reminded me of how last year I longed for contact with nature, but could not.
>
>Last year, because of covid, I moved to another region of my country, where I was living in a residential area that at most had a nearby plaza with a few trees and some grass. At that time I really missed the place where I live now, because of its cool and cold weather, because I am surrounded by trees, because even though it is a secluded place it is a very nice place to live and when I moved I missed it a lot, but now that I am back in this place so full of nature, the truth is that I am not giving it the proper attention.
>
>This walk made me realize that I have allowed screens and work to absorb me to the point that the contact with nature, which I missed so much before, I have been neglecting lately. It is very easy to get absorbed in work, screens and internet content, but it is definitely a mistake on my part not to take the time to do more walks like this one, I simply cannot put them off any longer, because in the end they are necessary and healthy for the mind and body.

## Agradecer

Resultó ser un día súper bonito, de esos donde se produce una renovación de energías y siento mucha dicha. Soy consciente de lo afortunada que soy de tener este lugar tan cerca de casa y me alegro mucho de haberlo visitado, a la vez, me siento un poco culpable por haberlo postergado tanto y quisiera visitarlo mucho más de ahora en adeltante.

Hoy agradezco por poder respirar aire fresco, despejarme del trabajo, alejarme de las pantallas por un rato y disfrutar de la naturaleza y la compañia de mis seres queridos en tan bonito lugar.

>It turned out to be a very nice day, one of those where there is a renewal of energy and I feel very happy. I am aware of how lucky I am to have this place so close to home and I am very happy to have visited it, at the same time, I feel a little guilty for having postponed it so much and I would like to visit it much more from now on.
