¡Un saludo a todos!  Hace unas semanas se empezó a gestar en la comunidad de Hivesicians una nueva iniciativa llamada LET’S ARGUE, una iniciativa que propuse y desarrollé porque quería abrir un espacio de opinión e investigación sobre temas asociados a la música, donde pueden participar no solo músicos sino toda persona interesada en los temas que se propongan, así que ¡tú también puede formar parte de LET’S ARGUE! Me parecía absurdo no participar en mi propia iniciativa, por lo que he decidido subir este video en donde narro mi perspectiva sobre el primer tema, que es: ¿La tecnología ha cambiado a la música para bien o para mal? Un tema amplio, donde decidí tomar en cuenta el impacto que ha tenido la tecnología en la educación musical, accesibilidad, grabación y post-producción, distribución y composición de la música.

A wide topic, where I decided to take into consideration the impact that technology has had on music education, accessibility, recording and post-production, distribution, and composition of music.

<H4> Educación musical:</H4>

- <b>Internet y aplicaciones</b>

>Se encuentra en el video a partir del 0:47.

En este punto inicio comentando el beneficio que nos ha dado el internet y las aplicaciones para poder aprender música de manera autodidacta. Esto lo contrasto con el factor de que al haber tantas aplicaciones que facilitan el proceso de composición, ya no resulta necesario aprender teoría musical para hacer música, y aunque esto parezca un punto controversial en realidad la música desde sus inicios siempre fue de creación intuitiva. Aún así, estudiar teoría musical te da herramientas que te harán un mejor músico, asi que nunca está demás estudiarla.

- <b> Intrumentos por computadoras</b>

Luego comento como hoy día parece ser más útil aprender a usar una computadora en lugar de aprender a tocas algunos intrumentos, como la batería por ejemplo. Allí les muestro algunas baterías electrónicas, menciono el lenguaje MIDI y planteo la reinvención de la batería como instrumento. Está muy interesante ¡Vayan a verlo!.

- **Internet and applications**

At this point I start by commenting on the benefit that the internet and applications have given us to be able to learn music in a self-taught way. This I contrast with the factor that since there are so many applications that facilitate the process of composition, it is no longer necessary to learn music theory to make music, and although this seems a controversial point in reality the music since its inception was always intuitive creation. Even so, studying music theory gives you tools that will make you a better musician, so it is never out of place to study it.

- **Instruments by computer**

Then I comment how nowadays it seems to be more useful to learn to use a computer instead of learning to play some instruments, like the drums for example. There I show you some electronic drums, mention the MIDI language and propose the reinvention of the drum kit as an instrument. It is very interesting. Go and see it!

- <b>Los beneficios del Home Studio </b>

>A partir del minuto 4:07.

Aquí comento como en el pasado se necesitaba estar firmado por una major label para poder grabar un disco, esto lo contrasto con la actualidad haciendo mención al <b>home studio</b>, el nacimientos de los <b>artistas independientes</b>, la <b>libertad creativa</b> y los beneficios de las <b>redes sociales</b> en la carrera de los músicos.

- <b>Músicos polifacéticos</b>

>A partir del minuto 5:22.

Además comento el contra de ser músicos independientes, ya que son muchas la tareas que se deben hacer al no estar respaldado por una disquera.

- The benefits of the Home Studio

<H4>Grabación y Postproducción</H4>

>A partir del minuto 6:00.

- **Calidad del sonido y procesos de edición**

En este punto menciono como ahora la música se puede con grabar con una mejor calidad debido a la calidad de hardwores que existe hoy día, y les muestro como son los procesos de edición, el manual y el digital.

Tambien menciono como antes no podía haber errores en el estudio debido a lo complicado de los procesos de edición, y como los avances tecnológicos hacen que editar no solo la voz sino todo, sea mas sencillo, lo cual influye en la calidad de los músicos de hoy día.

- **Tener buenas ideas**

Menciono la importancia de tener buenas ideas en cuanto la composición y además tener un excelente trabajo de producción musical, ya que estas son áreas que toman mucha fuerza hoy día.

A mi parecer, este es el punto más apasionante de todos. Aqui les comento como el medio de distribución influye en la manera en que se hace música, explico las **políticas de recompensa de Spotify** y como esto ha cambiado la manera de componer, pues la música está cambiando su duración y estructura. Aquí les comento los cambios que ha habido en la música:

Les menciono como hay artistas que no se amoldan a las reglas del sistema e igual les va bien, dando de ejemplo a **Tool** y su álbum Fear Inoculum.

<H4>Conclusión</H4>

A mi parecer la tecnología ha cambiado la música para bien, hace que dedicarse a la música sea mucho mas sencillo, puedes ser autodidacta, no dependes de corporaciones para grabar y tienes libertad creativa. Tienes acceso a información y a mucha música con la cual inspirarte, también puedes hacer colaboraciones a distancia y hacer shows en streaming.

Hoy día a lugar para todo y las herramientas están a nuestro servicio, no dejemos que los cambios nos limiten, mas bien hay que aprovecharlos para hacer lo que queremos. No ha habido un momento donde crear y compartir música sea tan accesible como ahora. Tenemos la capacidad como nunca ántes de escuchar muchísima música, y de sumarnos a crearla.

In my opinion technology has changed music for the better, it makes it much easier to dedicate yourself to music, you can be self-taught, you don't depend on corporations to record and you have creative freedom. You have access to information and a lot of music to inspire you, you can also collaborate remotely and do streaming shows.

Today there is a place for everything and the tools are at our service. Let's not let the changes limit us, but rather take advantage of them to do what we want. There hasn't been a time where creating and sharing music is as accessible as it is now. We have the capacity as never before to listen to a lot of music, and to join in creating it.

Por ser moderadora de esta iniciativa mis entradas para el concurso no cuentan como participación para optar al premio, pero de igual forma estaré compartiendo con ustedes mi opinión sobre los diversos temas para así apoyar la iniciativa, ya que la finalidad de LET’S ARGUE es motivar la investigación e interacción para compartir puntos de vista.

Quiero disculparme por subir esto semanas después, pero con la cantidad de trabajo que hemos tenido en el equipo fue dificil editar el video en medio de tantas responsabilidades (y de paso es largo 😅). Espero comprendan y lo disfruten igual, fue hecho con mucho cariño y esfuerzo.
