*Hands down, my home is where my heart is and that is my favourite place in the whole world. Rivers State is home not due to what it has to offer in terms of structure, recreation, entertainment, etc but because of the people, my people...Shall we go on a brief tour of places I have visited before I talk about my favourite place? I visited Abuja when I was still an undergrad. I went to ECOWAS and NIIA to carry out interviews with a couple of directors that were vital for my final year project topic. While I was there, my friend took me on a tour of a few places such as Jabi Lake Mall, Jabi Lake, Dunes, Anglican Church of Nigeria and we saw a movie at the Silverbird Cinema.*

*This time around when Christmas is coming, we have a Bazaar of Filipino handicrafts. It is located at the stage at Greenbelt 5, 2nd Floor....As you can see here, we have lots of Christmas trees. Filipino homes are mostly decorated when the 'ber' months comes. As we can tell, Christmas starts from September until January here. We love lights and colors of green, red and golds or anything that you like. Since our Christmas tree is not a real tree we can use any colors that we like. I have seen red, pink and gold and white. Most of us stayed at home longer now, perhaps you can try to give a space for something that can left up some spirits, bringing Christmas spirit by putting up lights and some of these pieces.*

*Arabica is one type of coffee that is in demand among the people of Aceh, because of its savory taste, suitable for every flavor variant. Basically the tradition of drinking coffee in Aceh is very unique, the people of Aceh, always drink coffee with a pancong glass, as you can see in the photo above, then put a small plate under it...traditionally we always put a small plate or a large plate under a drinking glass or food plate...We, the people of Aceh, do this to honor every guest or person who comes to the warkop, restaurant, or private house. The culture of a small plate under a coffee cup will always be cultivated in Acehnese society, because this has become our symbol for the Acehnese people.*

*As a village boy, growing up in the village, there was a particular species that was very sweet so much that we could chew it raw, the name we knew then was “EFIANG” but with time that very spcies is no more used, reasons being that it was no longer yielding, also I can remember that there were other two species that were the happening once PARYAH and EKEREFERE This were the species that was invoke as at then, seriously I don’t have any idea about how the names came by. I don’t how but they always do have very funny names, names like MACOSAH, IFIA OKPO, OTO-OKUNG OYUN and many others.*
