NEM: has the value of the token actually gone down from this or is the price going down simply because some portion was stolen? Seems more on the exchange than on NEM.

Super bullish on ETH this year, I like trading with it. I think we are going to see more ETH pairs coming forward, can't wait for the ability to trade any coin for any coin, or maybe at least the top 100 or something.

Pretty smart of Kraken to do some free trades and I think China opening up ICO's will create some bullishness. Also MT baby!

The recent hack will have a detrimental knock-on effect on the entire market over the coming days.. I can imagine a multitude of online publications covering this story over the next few days and calling it something like "Are cryptocurrencies finished? Biggest crypto-exchange hack in history".

Let's hope that this, couple with other recent news, won't have a negative market effect for too long. I'm bullish on the market in general from late February, especially with lightning networks being implemented. Thanks for the post!

It's quite sad to see people loose their money but all the same we ought not to loose hope ,the blockchain  is still in it's infancy and we get better at it each day, advice guys not to be living too much coins on the exchanges.

I learned early on as part of my research, you should always have control of your wallets and private keys. Centralized Exchanges are vulnerable to attacks from a number of sources and these attackers are incentivized to attack as they have concentrated sources of assets to take with one attack.

$534 million. That's so much money that it's really hard to believe they were able to pull  it off. NEM is a really great coin, I hope it doesn't take too much of a beating on the exchanges bc of the hack....

BitCoin starts with gold, and takes two weeks into the market with round-the-clock manipulations. keywords;
gold, segwit, tether, cash, bitcoin.

Today, the prices are rising suddenly by buying and selling coins in the amount of hundreds of millions of dollars at a time between bitcoin and cash.

Yikes, that really sucks. I wonder if they are going to roll back the blockchain. I understand why people don't like that, but maybe it would deter hackers. If the hackers knew that every time there was a hack, the blockchain is just going to get rolled back and they weren't going to profit, it may deter them. And if they still want to hack knowing they won't keep the coins, well then they are just vetting the blockchain security for free!

I also wrote an article the other day on Robinhood introducing crypto. I think they're going to see a surge of people who sign up because of it. They're only doing the limited roll out to start, but hopefully they get it nation-wide quickly. I know it wasn't really the point of the vid, but it was just above it and what went into my brain.
