Thanks for pointing me toward Genesis' blog update today on their upcoming buildout.  This is encouraging for when my ETH contract moves over, so it potentially won't be everyone getting flooded over to Monero.  Everyone who locked in lifetime contracts before BTC sold out must feel pretty good about that right now.

I had a friend signing up for HashFlare today under my code and had to stop them in their tracks when I saw the last sentence of their tragic update earlier.  I would've never heard the end of it if their 20 TH lifetime contract was immediately one year within 24 hours...

The one day's notice is horrible because it shows that they're ok with taking people's money until the last second under the guise of semi-false advertising.  They didn't just decide this today.  It was a game plan and they chose to backstab their loyal customers instead of alert them sooner as a courtesy (OR even honor their contracts/run it for 2 years from tomorrow instead).

At the very least, they could've been more empathetic and apologetic for breaking trust and hearts because of a contract loophole...  

Genesis has really proven themselves after their last hack (despite some slow PR news and growing pains), but they'll surely win over a lot of new market share from Hashflare now as long as they don't cut their own lifetime contracts.

The demand will be high, so pricing will certainly take advantage of that.  Either way, we need Genesis to make money to be sustainable, so hopefully it's reasonable, and without cutting off their lifetime deals.
